Tender Ben's 100 Max Pump Spray, 1.25 Ounce Bottle

Well, it works, and it works well. I went on a trip for a week in Honduras, and I was one of the only ones who didn't get bitten at all, since I was using this. Bug bites there are quite nasty.I put about 3 sprays on each exposed arm, one on my neck, one on each side of my face, and one on each of my legs. Using that, i didn't get any bites at all.Remember that DEET is a powerful plastic solvent. Remember not to touch anything that's plastic when there's wet DEET on your hands. Melting plastic feels sticky, so if that happens, rinse it off with water right away. Don't need to become paranoid, but just be careful about what you touch right after you apply DEET. I made a point of washing my hands after spreading it on the rest of my body to avoid damaging things.Remember to shower before sleeping after you use deet so you don't get any rashes.DEET isn't good for you, but it's better than getting bitten. I've experienced some small rashes that faded within a few hours from DEET. They were small, not very itchy, and much preferable to the massive insect bites that others got.Oh, this small pack should last you quite a while. I used only half a bottle over a week, when I applied it every day. I even shared with others sometimes. So 3 bottles should last you...long enough.This product works. Sure, it's strong, and not exactly healthy to use, but when you can't afford to be bitten, this is the thing to use.

Nothing ruins a day outside like being attacked by mosquitoes constantly. Not everyone will recommend DEET as being the safest thing to put on your body, but I would argue that leaving with 15 mosquito bites opens you up for risk of exposure to some nasty viruses. I'll take my chances on the DEET.For the performance of the item. I do a light spray on each limb and another shot in my hands to rub around my neck and face. I've gone from being attacked to being left completely alone about a minute after applying this. Some mosquitoes seem to be unaffected, but I'd say it reduced the attack by about 95%. The best option is to spray this on long sleeve or pants to avoid direct skin application. However, this isn't always feasible.I also tried this item to keep pesky black flies from biting me at the beach. It didn't have the same affect. They kept biting and biting. It might have been due to the mixture with sunscreen I had on too. I might give it another try next time and see if I have better results.Bit pricey for what you get too. That's why I suggest using it sparingly. You don't need to cake yourself like you would with an aerosol can of OFF spray or something similar. This stuff is much much stronger.

Small package that you can take on an airplane. 100% concentrate so be careful not to put on goretex and other similar clothing because it will melt it.

Seems to work very well. Only need small amount which lets in come in a conveniently small spray bottle. Would give it 5 stars but because each situation is different it's hard to tell how badly it was needed. All I can say is several camping trips later it has always done it's job.

This is a repeat purchase. We live on a canal across from mangroves so we have a lot of pesky blood seeking critters. I'm the one who is constantly under attack and even with OFF Deep Woods formula sprayed all over my body I was getting chewed up. Dozens of bites at a time...Ben's formula has the highest Deet content which is the bug battling stuff. The deet content is 98% as compared to all other products we have tried which range from 8-20%. There is no chemical smell and over spray (you know, the cloud you try not to inhale because it makes your lungs cry and singes your nose hair?) I use one squirt on each ankle and each wrist and then rub it in. Done. I might still get a rogue bite but it has made a huge difference.Note: Ben's makes a less concentrated version. We almost accidentally bought that one at Bass Pro. Glad we waited and got the 100.

The product is wonderful but this seller advertises 3 - 1.25 oz packages but you only get one.

I used this when I traveled to Thailand and it was strong enough . I was never attacked by mosquitoes and managed to come back home with getting any mosquitoes or bug bites! Great product . It is very strong and melted my nail polish but it never irritated my skin and I have very sensitive skin . I was able to wear it daily all over my body without any issues . Thank God because I was in Thailand during the summer and mosquitoes were rampant . I would not have survived without it . The local bug spray worked too but I'm glad I have bens with me also

After doing some research online at various sites, I decided this was the best insect repellent out there. I was heading to the jungle area of Belize and didn't want to risk it.I was a little nervous about the potency but in general I used very little - a few sprays onto my legs, one or two on each arm, one on my hands that I would rub on my neck and that seemed adequate.To give you an idea of the effectiveness, I was bird watching in the woods one morning and forgot to spray beforehand. I started getting a few bites and then realized that I had this in my pocket - I didn't want to make a big scene with the group so I discretely sprayed two sprays on my hands, did a quick wipe of my legs and arms and that was it. I didn't see another bug around me the rest of the morning!Definitely recommend.
