Fit very well as a replacement for an 18 year old vent that was deteriored. This particular vent doesn't look like it the plastic is as thick as the one it replaced. It may not last as long, but it certainly fit and works fine. No problems at all.

It is doing the job it is intended to do. The cover seems to be sturdy enough and so far stays on the mount. The mount could be stronger or maybe a steel bezel inside to spread the load from the screws. It works, just not sure it will have a long life against the siding. The bars at the opening are quite weak but seem to be strong enough to keep birds out. (my main concern). It will not stop 4 legged animals. If you need that go with a steel unit.

I ordered the 4" vent. Right off the bat, the plastic on the cover piece felt pretty flimsy. The base piece feels pretty sturdy though and that's the one you'll wrestle into your duct. So my only concern is I'm not sure how long the cover piece will last. That said it's a nice product otherwise. It's easy to remove the cover (press on the sides) and it looks nice on the wall. If you're installing over an uneven surface like brick or stucco you may want to have some foam handy to fill the gaps so you an seal properly. For the price it's a good value.

Product description states "durable construction". This product is made from three pieces of cheap plastic with very tiny and delicate tabs that hold the three pieces together. The internal flapper door was broken inside of the packaging. One side of the hinge pin was broken and missing, and it was not inside the packaging. The writing on the package states that the contents are ABS Plastic. This is not the case. It won't hold up to basic assembly, much less outdoor use on the side of a building.
