The charger itself worked very well was a good quality piece of kit, easy to install and held securely to the air vent, after over a year of owning the charger the vent clip broke but the Star Map customer service was second to none that I have ever dealt with, they quickly helped with the issue without any fuss and resolved the problem very professionally, I would definately buy from them again in the future.

After six months of daily use in my Audi Q5, I can confidently say that the MOKPR Car Phone Holder Wireless Charger is an excellent addition to my vehicle. This device has consistently impressed me with its functionality and reliability. The auto-clamping feature is a standout. The arms detect my phone quickly and close securely, ensuring my device stays put even on bumpy roads. The 15W wireless charging is efficient, keeping my phone powered up during both short commutes and longer journeys. Installation was straightforward, and the air vent mount feels sturdy and well-designed. It hasn't shown any signs of wear or loosening, even after half a year of regular use. One interesting feature is that the holder opens up automatically about 5 seconds after the car starts. While this is generally convenient, I would prefer if it stayed open when the car is switched off. It's a minor quirk that doesn't detract from the overall performance but could be an improvement point for future models. A surprising bonus is that the holder seems to have some kind of internal battery. Even with the USB cord unplugged, it can operate a few times, which can be handy in certain situations. The charging speed is impressive, and I've had no issues with overheating or inconsistent charging. It works well with my phone case, eliminating the need to remove it for charging. Good product and the second I’ve purchased in recent months, as I was impressed with the one I bought for my wife’s car. However both have started to not open automatically to clamp and hold the phone when you start the engine. They both now need a helping hand to open up, hence 4 out of 5 stars. The latest purchase is only 1 month old. Otherwise a good solid phone holder which clamps well onto car air vents and charges phones well even with their cases on. Update 15th Jan 26: Contacted seller as the clamping arms stopped completely. Good communication from them, but they sent a different MOKPR replacement (the magnetic circular holder) so that we wouldn’t experience the same problem. Sadly my iPhone 16e just slid off this, as the magnetic hold is too weak. On reading the instructions, it advertises using a MagSafe phone case to work best with this product. So whilst we applaud the seller for their communication and attempt to resolve our issue, it just comes at more expensive for us. We hope our experience helps you consider the purchase of either product.

Used in an old Audi A4 with an iPhone X. I bought this for a number of reasons. Firstly I needed somewhere to hold the phone when it's used as a sat nav, secondly I wanted to be able to play music while driving without flattening the phone battery and finally the wired charge port on my creaky iPhone is dodgy, so the wireless charging was an obvious solution. It's great. All the mobile holders I've used in the past either had failed sucker pads that fell off the windscreen, held onto the vent grilles with the grip of an arthritic snowman, or if those two points held up, failed at the knuckle joint. This, so far a least, does none of those. It attaches firmly to the vent grille & holds the phone very steadily. (I'd suggest slackening the nut to find the best position & then tightening it, rather than forcing the knuckle to move under tension, but to be fair I think it would stand a small amount of repositioning even with the nut fairly tight). The cradle needs to be powered up when inserting the phone, it then senses it & clamps it firmly, much to my son's delight. to release the phone, just requires a button press. I assume this is due to the cradle recognising the phone's charging coil, but it can also be operated manually by pressing the buttons. I can't comment on the power output of the charger, but if (my) phone is reasonably charged to begin with, it functions without draining the battery. Whether it produces enough energy to charge the phone & run it at the same time, I'm unsure, as the longest run I've done since installation is about 30 minutes. This of course will also depend on your phone's specifics & what it's doing whilst in the cradle. As always, time is the big tester, but initial impressions are very good.

Works well for our Mercedes car. Very helpful during long drive. Easy to install as well.

Bought 2 of these Dec 2024, 1 works fine, the other does not auto open without ignition on as the other does.
