Drill America 5 Piece NPT Pipe Tap Set (1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" and 3/4"), Carbon Steel Plumbing Tap Set, Plastic Pouch Case, POU Series

Needed to remove an old broken drain plug insert in the tub and this set worked perfect. Saved me hundreds of dollars by not needing a plumber to dig out a broken off drain plug. Super sharp and easy to use.

These are Chineseum with an unbelievably low price. I'm going to use them to chase existing threads. I think they'll be OK for that. I question how long they'd last cutting new threads.

I used the 1" npt tap to clean some very rusty threads in a cast iron well pump. The tap did great and cut well. Tap was undamaged after using.

The price of the pipe tap set is great. I have spent the same amount on a single tap at my local hardware store. The quality of the tools is very good. I have used two of them already with excellent results.

This product works great. It was cheaper than I found anywhere else. It sure works just as good if not better than the rest. Product came sooner than expected so I was able to get the tractor fixed before expected. It helped me out tremendously.

Great value. Will cut threads in anything a mortal person can drill a hole big enough for these taps... Soft metals and plastic. I would not use these on steel or cast iron except to clean up a damaged thread.I cut some nice threads in 1/2” polycarbonate for a fish tank filter. Great capability to have in the tool box. Great in a pinch or for fabricating things for fish, aquaculture, irrigation, or around a farm.

These are very soft, maybe good for some plasticsor low grade aluminum but definitely not meant for steel of any kind. One use, didn't cut threads, rather, the material took the teeth off of the tap. Definitely not what you want for a tap. Maybe I selected the non heat treated option? Kidding. Steer clear of this set, not worth buying.

Great NPT tap set, I taped my water pump inlet 1/2” NPT and the outlet 3/8” NPT for AN fittings, they taped very nicely into the aluminum housing and most importantly no leaks! I would definitely buy them if I needed another set again and recommend to a friend
