Thermostat does what thermostates do.
Replaced a newer thermostat that liked to shut randomly. Tested in 180 degree water and this unit rapidly opened in moments, so presumably it'll start to open at 160. You'll need the gasket or o-ring for your application too. It does what its supposed to do.

2013 F150 ecoboost gets "Check Engine" light
MotoRad 655-160 Thermostat. 2013 F150 ecoboost gets "Check Engine" light. Build quality is great, price is Great ! I tow a travel trailer with my F150 in California, I wanted to run my truck as cool as possible but the Ford Echoboost engine likes to get to 190* withing a certain amount of time or it puts out a check engine light on. switched to the 165-190 to see if it stops the error code. *** NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THE F150 ECHOBOOST *** UPDATE 9/6/2022 The 165-190 Has been working great. I have only gotten a check engine light maybe Once or twice in the coldest days in winter. It cleared on its own within a couple of restarts. Seems to run cooler but I don't have data to confirm/compare to stock.
