Love this kit. Using it for troubleshooting a hot neutral problem. Use the hot check light all the time during my remodel. Reworking someone else's electrical hack job is a lot easier with this kit.

Everything worked perfectly except the non-contact voltage tester. It did not work at all. Also, the free batteries were dead.

Everyone doing home improvement should have this setup. In a house with a previous owner who fancied himself an electrician, but didn't label a damn thing breaker box included, this has saved me HOURS of work. More importantly it's saved my bad knees a lot of laps up and down the stairs checking which circuit was tapped into for the half-assed basement remodel. Screw this thing into a light turn it on, walk upstairs turn off the right breaker, the first time, label the damn thing, then go fix it. Rinse and repeat. Even better you've got the backup hot wire detector for those, I kid you not, NINE mysterious wire ends you found above various drop ceiling panels. With the exception of the voltmeter itself all of this is one button and point at the scary wires. So easy to use to you'll probably accidentally prevent injury just by having it around!
