A little setup may be required
This is a really nice, quality feeling backpack! It has a couple large compartments and some smaller ones as well, great for storing motorcycle gear when not in use AND transporting smaller items when riding. The straps and buckles require a little setup at first if you're planning on using the helmet holder feature. I loosened them out all the way, positioned my helmet and then tightened them down as needed. These straps also have Velcro holders built in for the excess strap after tightening as well, which is really nice. I did also end up ordering some additional Velcro straps to lock down other excess strap since other adjustable straps on the bag don't have the integrated Velcro holders. I didn't want those flapping in the wind as well. It was like $9 for 100 count bag so even if they somehow fall off, I've got plenty of extra ones. If you don't plan on using the helmet holder, then I wouldn't even mess with those straps as they don't impede functionality of the backpack compartments. In theory if you really wanted to, you could probably cut or pin back the buckles and straps you don't care to use so they aren't a factor at all. There is also a Velcro enclosure on the back panel that should fit some armor if you want to add it. $50 for a good quality, weather resistant backpack designed for use when riding is pretty awesome. The only thing I wish it had was some reflective portions as the whole bag is black, and I didn't care for the khaki version. I'll be looking for something to add to it to fulfill the purpose of extra visibility.

Quality, versatile backpack
I was a bit hesitant to buy this backpack, since it had no reviews, but it had all the features I was looking for so I went for it, and I'm glad I did. I wanted a backpack to wear when riding my motorcycle to work or on adventure trips and this one fits the bill perfectly. I also bought the hydration bladder that goes with it, and it seems good quality and works well with the pack. The material the pack it made from is pretty heavy and seems like it will hold up well. I love the modularity of the MOLLE design, as it can pretty much be anything you need it to be. My XL full face helmet fits in the helmet carrier fine, and all the straps adjust, so I'm fairly sure it will hold any size helmet, or whatever else you want to put in there. You can get optional side packs that will attach to the sides of the main pack as well. I really like the straps on the side that allow you to adjust the size of the pack based on what you have in it, so if it's lightly loaded with stuff for work, I can make the pack quite compact, or if I were going on a long trip and needed to load it down I could expand them. The material is indeed waterproof, but the zippers and outer nylon adjusting straps will absorb water so that could be a problem if you get caught for a long time in a downpour. The shoulder straps are comfortable and it has a small chest strap to hold them together and a larger waist strap to support the pack. There are loops and rings all over it to attach whatever accessories you want. Overall, I think it's great value for money spent and I couldn't be happier with it!

I hope you like straps
This thing is a generically solid workhorse -indestructible -acceptable looking, if you take some time to deal with all the straps you don't use -good at most things/bad at few things -versatile. it would be suboptimal in some cases, but can do basically anything you need it to -suprisingly light when empty a couple things i didn't like: -the helmet carrying thing takes forever to use if you roll up the excess strap length, because you have to unroll each strap in order to loosen it for your helmet -i'm a 5'10", 180 lbs man and it sometimes feels too big for me. would not recommend for smaller guys, or for at all for women and one thing that i WANT to say i hated, but honestly it kind of grew on me and became funny: -it has three times as many straps as it requires for something to look like it has too many straps. unless you are a secret agent special forces guy carrying a duffel bag and a backup canoe, you will need to spend 15 min coming up with a way to remove or tie off all the superfluous straps. ***one of them in particular, the belt strap, can actually be dangerous -- it is long enough to touch your feet when unsecured, and certainly long enough to catch on your motorcycle chain if you didn't notice it came loose one day.***

I use this pack on my daily commute to work. It holds my lunch, my suit coat, shirt and tie, and my helmet when I arrive to work. I have added a molle pouch for a Narcan kit (I work in a seedy area) and it blends right in. I love that when I eventually take a longer trip, I have the option for a water bladder as well. With so many storage options, this is a great product. I cannot wait to try more items from this company!

If you want to go shopping and stow your jacket and helmet away this is fantastic. I tried it out on my last shopping trip and although it’s bulky it’s very comfortable and quite practical. Then when you leave you can take your jacket back out and the helmet and put your shopping items in it. Obviously I’m talking about minor shopping trips - not your weekly grocery shopping.

This is an excellent riding backpack. There are lots of straps so you need to be meticulous and secure all of them or the staps will whip you while riding at speed. But the manufacturer considered this and provided an excellent velcro secured tie down on the straps. I wear a full helmet so the helmet section is a little small. It covers 60 percent of the helmet and the 5 point harness ensures that the helmet is securely retained. I place my helmet into a storage sachele prior to strapping it in as I want to ensure that the plastic clasps do not scratch the matte finish. I purchased a seperat mole bag for my EDC that will slip into a small section of the pack. Tje pack fits really well and is very comfortable. I appreciate the 2 cross straps for securing the harness. The chest cross strap is elastic and not adjustable but I usually wear a bulky lether riding jacket so it is snug. I would prefer a non elastic strap as elastic straps stretch over time and are susetable to UV degradation. I have yet to test the waterproof statement and will update my review as soon as I get caught in the rain and can provide a testimonial. With any luck it will be a while as I truely dislike riding in the rain. Over all I am very happy with the qualoty and would recommend it to anyone looking for a riding backpack.
