Mighty Thor.
I already have a Size 2 Thor Copper/Rawhide hammer which has served well for almost twenty years. Although still useable, the copper has massively mushroomed and similarly with the less used rawhide end.Hopefully this newer one will also stand the test of time. Excellent to see these are still made in England, if the label is correct.

Buy it! Proper No-Nonsense Tool
According to Classic Hammer magazine, these are a classic hammer and with good reason, Every tinkerer professional or amateur ought to have one of these in their box of tools, if you need to 'persuade' something in/out/all about without marking it then this is the hammer for you, it's a good size (Size 2) as it's got just the right amount of weighty clout, you can buy replacement heads which is nice but they can be harder to fit than is worth the hassle, buy one, they're probably cheaper than the Sealey/Draper/Branded equivalent which ironically is probably made but Thor. I'll be buying more Thor hammers that's the truth.

Great Hammer - Comfortable Size - Rawhide Face Difficult To Replace
Top quality hammer. This is probably the best general size for most use in a machine shop or when working on cars. Size 3 would be too big and heavy for comfortable use unless you're battering something particularly big and heavy. Beware that the rawhide face is not easily replaced (i.e. it's not a screw fitting) - you are supposed to use a hydraulic press and a custom press tool. You need to make the press tool on a lathe from plans you can download from the Thor website. This is a lot of hassle for most, and I expect people will favour just replacing the hammer. The copper face is not replaceable, but it supposed to last 'indefinitely'.

Well it's a copper hammer!
Used this to take my front suspension apart, much better than damaging bolts etc and heavy enough to pack a clout.
