Q: What is the IP rating of this product please? Looking to monitor a steam room so needs to be high.

This isn't a sealed unit, therefore it hasn't got an IP rating like a mobile phone or tablet would have and because it also has sensors, if it was sealed the sensors would have no contact with the air and wouldn't work ! Because it is designed for a humidity range of 10%-99% (see the specifications), it should be fine for a steam room. I have had 4 of these for about 44 months now, 2 of which are in greenhouses, where they get both high and low temperature and humidity, the other two are in a bathroom and kitchen, where high temperatures and humidity are also present at some point - have I had any problems ? ... No ! So based on my experience and use of these TP358's, I would say definitely give one try, they are relatively cheap for what they are and I have several other of their devices that I have purchased over 5 years and none of them have let me down or failed.... unlike other makes I have used, so in my book they are really reliable. Hope this helps.

Q: How could I keep the orange light on forever?

You can't. The batteries wouldn't last long at all if you did. Its perfectly viewable without really and even more so via the app.

Not sure. No mention of that name on the information I have.

Q: Do you have to keep reconnecting this or does it do it automatically ?

Hi I have one of these. It runs continuously and records temperature and humidity at intervals (every minute? - not sure). You can download the data to your phone etc (bluetooth) using the Thermopro app. This produces a continuous timed plot of temperature etc. When you go to the app you have to wait for it to update the plot, so it is not continously updating the data on your phone - only when you connect via the app. Does that answer the question.?
