Nightwing Vol. 3: The Battle for Blüdhaven's Heart

I have always loved the OG Robin Dick Grayson. Tom Taylor writing is so great. Love the supporting characters, the city feels I’d own. Love the appearances of other hero’s like the Bat family, Titans etc. just makes sense to me. The artwork perfect too. Read these volumes digitally but will get get physical books to add to my collection.

I love Tom Taylor's take on Nightwing. This is the kind of comic that DC and more comic book companies should make. This is well written with great characters. The art is first class. Stop being dark and violent and in love with the bad guys so much.

I loved this comic run by Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo. It is well written and beautifully drawn and collored. The comic run (with Leaping into the Light and Get Greyson) is amazing, and this one in specific (The Battle for Bludhaven's Heart) offers a great closure to this story.

Nightwing making lots of action!!

The description is misleading, saying it is 176 pages long. It’s actually only 136 pages total, with 16 pages of filler and 120 pages of actual comics, equivalent to only 5 comic books. Compared to Volumes 1 and 2, which both contain 6 comic books each, for a total of 160 pages each, this third volume is 1 comic book short. I hope this helps and clears the misleading information about this book.

Before, I couldn't be bothered with the Nightwing Series. Too many twists, turns, odd storylines, all out of place and made no sense or led nowhere (and if they did, it was all undone). Tom Taylor's run on the other hand? I'm loving the "Hopeful Hero" storyline. It fits Nightwing and Dick Grayson so well.

One of The best written DC comics ever

Nightwing faces more challenges as he opens up Haven for kids. Luckily, he has his friends and family to help him out. One of my favorite moments in this book is when Dick says the big 3 words that would change his relationship with Barbara forever, and I love his reaction when he realizes what he just said. I love Barbara's role in the series. She's not just a great supporting character, but she's the anchor that keeps Dick grounded. I love that she reminds him not to follow Batman's ways and tell him that he is allowed to be happy. It is what I like about Nightwing. He doesn't push people away to protect them, and he is not afraid to ask for help. Tom Taylor really gets him!

Loved this book. I love even a book that really delivers on what had been promised and built up to in the previous issues/books. Dick Grayson has set out his plans for Blüdhaven to create his own pieces of Haven. The man who claims "is the city" is not about to lay down and surrender any part of it. Nightwing needs to use every recourse available to him, both heroes and law enforcement, if he has a chance to save a city that corruptions personified at the highest levels. Also, there might be some overdue changes in Grayson's personal life. Great book. The artwork is perfect for the story. The right amount of action and storytelling as well as the main event showdown. If I have one complaint, it is how anyone does not know Dick Grayson is Nightwing? I know Superman (who did inspire Nightwings costume), glasses have been a joke for years, but part of the things why is works he changes his hair, acts clumsy as Clark Kent and Clark Kent is not a hugely known public fight before he came out with his secret. Grayson acts the same in his civilian life as he does a Nightwing. Same hair, established in both cities that they both lived in. His mask only covers his eyes, and there are tonnes of pictures of both of them. Rant over. The book finishes with a varient cover gallery and sketchbook of characters and costume designs. The battle is over, but a war is still coming.

Bom final de arco, principalmente pensando em continuações. Caso pule o segundo volume, que foge da trama, a história é bem assertiva.
