This is a wonderful bread slicer.It is the third I’ve bought through Amazon.ca.The first was made of bamboo and the moment the bread knife made contact with the base…the very first time I used it…the bamboo splintered adding bits of bamboo to my bread!The second one received positive reviews both on Amazon.ca and elsewhere and was made in plastic but it was impossible to properly cut slices of bread, so it was useless.Understandably when I approached my third bread slicer I was cautious, reading the reviews closely and asking two questions from the supplier which were answered promptly and completely, and this was consistent with my expectations after reading about the supplying company.The bread slicer is in four parts plus the knife and all are made to the highest quality; ‘quality’ is clearly the first consideration and not ‘price’.The bread slicer is easy to assemble and, with the excellent knife provided, produced perfect and consistent slices of my homemade bread, slice after slice after slice. When not in use it fits snugly in the bag provided and takes little room in my kitchen.I could not be happier with this purchase or recommend it more highly. It is so pleasing to have such a quality bread slicer which does the job so well.

This bread slicer works very well for bread machine bread. You can adjust for width of the loaf as well as the thickness of the slices. The bread knife is long and slices very well. It is easy to take apart to clean and is easily assembled. Very sturdy. Much better than the other one I had which fell apart every time you used it. I love this bread slicer!

Purchased this after first trying a similar one that was made from bamboo. (Don't bother with the bamboo slicer unless you like slivers of bamboo in your bread). This is easy to set up an adjust for loaf size. It does take up a lot of space on the countertop and is not something that you want to set up each time you need to cut a slice of bread. But I think it's well made and works well. The knife, though, is very cheap and flimsy plastic. Since we already have a nice bread knife, the one that came with this slicer got donated. Overall, a nice product and I like that it is made in the USA. I would have preferred something smaller, but those all look flimsy.
