CXP20VD 20V Brushless Cordless Drill/Driver

This is a powerful, really nice cordless drill. Just look at the specs- 2 speed variable, 2,000 max RPM, 370 in. lbs of torque, 2.0 AH Li-Ion battery, and maybe most important, a brushless motor. Brushless motors are more efficient, quieter, and have no brushes to wear out. They're generally found on higher end drills because of their cost. Maybe if you make your living with tools you might want more, but for the home handyman I'll guarantee this drill has more than you'll ever need. I got lucky and picked it up for under $50. Amazon raised the price substantially shortly after I ordered it. It was a great deal at the price I paid, whether it 's still worth it at the new higher price is up to you. But it is a very nice drill.There are a couple of cons- it only comes with one battery, and as far as I can tell additional batteries are not available as a separate item. I'm trying to find out if some other manufacturers batteries are compatible but I haven't found one yet. It does have the four lights that turn off as the battery depletes, so at least I know when it's time to take a lunch break and let it charge for a while. Also this doesn't come with a carrying case. I was hoping to use the case from my old drill that died but it doesn't fit. So that's a downside, but the drill itself is very good.Update: I've been unable to locate a 2nd battery for this drill. Manufacturers seem to like to make their batteries all different so you can only use theirs. And when I check the owners manual that came with my drill there's no phone number, no website, no physical address, no nothing. In other words, customer support is zero. So unless something changes, just be aware that you're on your own with one battery and just about no chance of getting another. In my case my use is only occasional so one battery is probably sufficient, but it would still be nice to have a backup.
