Vauxhall Key Fob Cover Replacement For Vauxhall Vivaro Renault Traffic Movano Kangoo Nissan Remote Car Key Case Shell, 2 Button Vauxhall Vivaro Key Fob, Renault Trafic Key Fob - No Blade

For some time i've been thinking I needed to get a complete new key for my Renault Trafic as the plastic fob had worn through to the buttons. I'd had a piece of tape in place but worried I was going to do more harm to the internalls. I didn't realise that you could get a replacement shell. Timpsons would have charged me £50 for a new shell with battery, so I looked on Amazon, £6.95 and £2.95 for a battery. Literally took less than three mins to change over. Open up the old case with a screwdriver / penny lift plastic catch holding key, pull out and push into new shell. Gently lift out the circuit board and clip into new shell, (fitted perfectly), click two pieces together - job done. Also comes with a spare internal button that I didn't need.

Works great, put original key blade into new fob. New battery etc excellent worth the cost 👌 👍

Fitted with minor modification. Had to file away a small amount of the circuit board for it to fit snuggly in the new case. Works a treat when fitted. Will be ordering a second for my spare key.

Omg great is all I can say. I purchased a 2008 Vauxhall vivero van and only 1 key which was really worn. I thought I’d have to buy a new key. However I saw this fob cover, it was cheap, so easy to change over. Go to YouTube. Amazing 🤩

This replacement key fob cover is better than the original because it's made of more durable material.

I recyled half of the old casing; the bit with the key logged into it. It fitted nearly perfect with the new cover that has the push buttons. I was lucky as I had no idea how to get the metal key out of its old plastic casing let alone how to make it next fit the new casing. The tiny switch buttons will go to waste. The old circuit board has them soldered on. There was no reason or easy way to replace what still works. I would have felt a bit more comfortable if there had been instructions on how to deal with the bits mentioned above in case they (key and buttons) really had to be dealt with. By combining old parts, by swapping only what needed replacement, I managed to make it work. I wouldn't have known how to do a full scale replacement.
