My daughter uses this in her dorm. It works well, it doesn’t slipped on hard wood floor. Easy to adjust, she feels good with the extra security.

This product is well built and durable. Very strong materials. The fit is adjustable. The look is simple but modern. The color is neutral. Slip resistant and very functional with the door.

I recently purchased the Adjustable Door Brace Security Bar, and I’m really impressed with its performance! The bar is sturdy, easy to use and offers peace of mind. It adjusts to fit different door sizes, and the heavy duty material provides extra security.

The compression strength of the unit is really due to the pins between the tubes. If either were to break, then entire unit would be rendered useless, regardless of the strength of the tubes. The fact that it doesn't bend over someone's knee seems like a meaningless test, since an intruder wouldn't be coming at it from that angle.The pins seem like they should be upgraded. I'm not saying they would be easy to sheer, just that they don't seem to match the quality of the tubes (which, again, are not the weak link). It does slide a little on my hardwood floors, but still acts as deterrent to getting through.I could see how repeated press/release (kicks) against the door would eventually get the unit to slide enough to fail. The hope with devices like this is that the perp would give up and move on to the next house. It's not the only defense on my doors, but it is quick to install and remove so I think I'll keep it.

My grandmother, who has dementia, had become increasingly paranoid and had taken to stacking furniture in front of her doors at night - a hazardous behavior that terrified me. I worried a fire could break out, trapping her inside, or that she could injure herself pushing the heavy furniture. Concerned for her safety, I purchased these security bars for each of her doors. They provided an effective solution, allowing my grandmother to feel safe without risking her wellbeing. She could easily install them in the evenings and remove them each morning, giving us both peace of mind. This simple intervention was a tremendous success!

The purpose of purchasing this is to add an extra level of protection to your home and give you a better chance at protecting you, your loved ones, and property.The security bar comes in a nice box with simple instructions. To set it up, you push the button at the bottom, rotate the bar, slide up until you reach the right length, and lock in place. Once the right length has been found, you simply lodge against the door and you are good to go.I want to note a few things:- This security bar is not the be-all end-all of added security. When lodged up against the door, this is not meant to stop a linebacker or police from coming into your front door. The purpose is to deter potential burglars and provide you another layer to security in alerting you of a possible break-in. Presuming thieves want to break into your home quietly, it is not easy to do so as seen in the video. Additionally, any noise that is made would alert you and give you added time to prepare to run or defend yourself.- That being said, you must lodge the security bar against the door at an angle for the best results in my observation. To make this more effective, I push in the rubber stopper at the bottom, which creates more resistance when trying to open the door.- The security bar can be used to lock a sliding balcony door or patio door, you simply adjust the length and it works the same.Overall, I really enjoy this and will buy again when the time comes.

So much stronger than others on Amazon. A different one I had broke on me - this one has lasted twice as long. Highly recommend! I feel safe :)
