Great German Grammar Guide!
German grammar is not exactly easy. This Langenscheidt is doing a fine job breaking it down into small, easy to understand segments. Good visuals - good presentation! I am a native German and bought it as a study guide for our sons - very happy with it!

Al very good and well organized description of German grammar. Most valuable for people who are just learning to speak German.

Good grammar for grey men
This is an excellent, lucid, well-designed treatment of a subject that can famously be frustrating. It should probably be called 'elementary'--but it will get you up to grown-up newspapers or novels very satisfactorily. Well done! It's little cartoons cast a pleasantly entertaining light. But it is very small light. A dark cloud weighs over this book. The people in it do nothing that real people do and say nothing that real people say. They do not hunt, or sail, or spend time with their girlfriends, or eat at restaurants. They work in offices. They do not have friends; they have 'colleagues.' They do not have cousins; they have 'branches.' If they go somewhere, it is not to the opera; it is to a 'conference.' We hear of one man going to Mass, which at least is Austrian; then we are told that 'messe' can also mean 'trade fair,' so probably he has gone to sell plastic spoons. It is hard to keep up interest in sentences such as 'Johannes worked hard to prepare himself for the presentation,' (the poor fool). One of the only believable sentences is 'Maria fell asleep during the boss's speech.'This is not just frivolous. For all its virtues this book does not prepare well for dinner-party conversations, or reading poetry, or any of the things people actually do. So its vocabulary is odd. And, in spite of the little cartoons, it's damned boring. But it will get you there.

Book Review in a Nutshell
Except for a few minor translation errors in English, the book is very helpful.

Perfect for learners and interested ones!
I can really recommend this book! As a German native speaker I found it quite interesting to see how the grammar works and I have been searching for a while to find a book that shows the grammar that clearly like this one. I know that the German grammar isn't easy, but I do think that "German Grammar in a nutshell" illustrates it pretty well.
