This is the real thing!
Finally i can buy this in the US, this is the real thing.Source: I am an Austrian living in the US. Speck is something you will find in almost every household in Austria.Nicely smoked and seasoned, enjoy it sliced very thin with some good french bread and a beer or red wine.Cut it into three pieces and freeze most of it, 5 pounds is a lot of Speck. This freezes really well and freezing it wont alter the taste. It is shipped really fast in a cold pack. All in all, I am very, very happy with this product !

This is the real thing............
What a wonderful piece of ham................the smell when I opened the package, the look of the chunk with all the spices, etc. smoked into the meat....the color and texture of the ham is just perfect. I can't stop slicing it and eating at every opportunity. Finally had to cut it in half, and freeze one portion....hopefully I can resist. Just a wonderful experience buying this ham.....I'm in Florida so it was only one day shipping....I will definitely buy again and again.

Very good prosciutto
Nicely Dry-cured. Slices well, great taste, prefer it to other prosciutto purchased online. Great price!

The photo shown is not what you get
Unpacking it and it's looking good. I have a deli slicer so, I cut the pieces very thin. I sliced a handfull of slices and notice it is dry as all hell. I did need to seperate them like they do at the deli counter at my local grocery store. Now the big taste test. Well, It was like eating beef jerky and very tough to chew. Not what I expected. Not at all..

Threw it away
Was hard as a brick. I have a good set of Japanese cutlery and was still too hard to slice thinly. Must customers said it was too tough for them to eat. You MUST have a meat slicer to cut this to where it may be eatable. So I threw it away and consider it's a $80 loss on my part.

If you have a sharp carving knife, it's awesome!
As a test, I compared with thin cut package from grocery store. It's better than that, but might not be as good as a specialty butcher shop.

It’s ok nothing special
, maybe the traveling and stuff made it full with humidity but overall it’s not too bad, far from what i had in italy
