I love love love this blade for my silhouette cameo 4. I was trying to use this with the tiny spring that comes with the blades and I was having issues. You do not need to use that tiny spring. I have purchased two. I keep one for the red blade and one for the blue blade. I have to switch between the two almost daily and this saves so many headaches. I painted the top of each one red or blue to keep the blades straight.

Great modification tip to get away from the cartridge blades. Blades cost pennies to replace with this and it cuts excelent. Slightly heavy on the head and it can hang occasionally as the lift is slow.

I was happy with the results when I used this on my Curio. My dog tag and key chains were beautifully engraved. I was pleasantly surprised. I had no expectation that the engraving would be in the same league as a laser engraver. I was able to engrave an entire quote onto an ATC blank, so that was fun and the recipient loved it! I don't mind adjusting the blade depth, particularly on my Cameo and my Curio, because they never had auto-adjust/auto-blade, so manual adjustments were always necessary. The numbers were helpful, but more often than not, I would have to play around with them to get the cut I wanted. Even with the auto blade on my Cameo 4, I still have a lot of "user-defined" cut settings. The cutting blades included in the kit are just regular cutting blades for cutting vinyl. I will use these on my Silhouette Cameo because I use auto blades on my Cameo 4. The blades will cut regular vinyl, HTV, vinyl sticker paper, and cardstock (smooth and textured.) The only drawback is the absence of depth indicator numbers! I did my first practice runs and final engraving on blanks from my stash and the engraving tip worked just fine. This is a good kit if, like me, you only engrave occasionally. I don't engrave things often enough to justify the cost of a laser engraver so this is a wonderful alternative. This kit is a fabulous addition to my die-cutting and engraving toolbox! I am happy with this product! I think the price is fair!

I have another CB09 blade holder to compare this one too. This one is more lightweight, aluminum construction, but that does not have an effect on the performance. The blade was easy to install and fits in my Silhouette Portrait 1 perfectly. I managed to get the blade depth perfect for cutting glossy and metallic vinyl. I have a lot of detail points and had a smooth cut on everything. I haven't yet tried the engraver, my machine isn't really meant for engraving, so I am a little nervous. I may need to make sure the aluminum pieces can fit under the roller bar before I break my machine. I wanted this to have a second blade carrier to be able to switch blades for different materials quickly. I like that the spring for the blade is in the holder instead of on the blade, I have lost those little springs before so this might be better. If using different blades that have the springs on them, you should remove the spring before inserting into the holder.

I did not even plan on getting this blade until I came across this great deal for it on Amazon. It works great too! The first thing I engraved was a dog tag for my FiFi. I actually even used one of the tags that this tip came with. It came with 7 different tags and I chose the heart one for my puppy. It has a smooth finish and worked greats. Also, It is as simple as 1 2 3 to install. Anyone with a Cameo will be able to use this type of tip.

'Engraves' the dog tags it comes with ok More like scratches the paint off of them 3 hours of tinkering and I couldn't get it to scratch anything much less engrave into a knife blade

This works wonderfully well. I bought it to engrave some circle tags with initials. I did find I had to run my cameo over each letter twice, but that was likely because I was afraid to increase the pressure on my machine due to the manufacturer advising it using these bits.

La cuchilla de corte al parecer, tiene buen filo, habrá que esperar para saber si es duradera. Estoy utilizandola con el adaptador para boligrafos ( azul claro) en Cameo 4. pero no sé si debe ir en la opción ( boligrafo o cuchilla manual), a veces se cambia a la de Boligrafo. Mi pregunta sería, en cual opción es correcta usarla. La de grabado aún, no la he usado. La otra interrogante es: Adonde se compran los repuestos de navaja de corte, las convencionales de distintos grados, no ajustan correctamente

It is void of the adapter required to actually use it. It would be nice even is the description stated adapter not included. It comes across like it has everything you need. So I don’t know if it works.

Worked good for 3 small acrylic discs, then the point was too dull to engrave anymore. Does not last
