These mega and jars are perfect for some bug catching! I prefer using my hands to the nets, but I often use the jars for bugs and beyond! Very high quality and lots of fun.

Gifted this to my nephew and he was so excited to have these jars to catch lightning bugs!

Bugs are one of my 4 year olds most favorite things, but most commercial “bug cages/houses” these days have a spinning type of door. This is all good outside, but not this momma’s favorite inside as most bugs can find their way out of such an unstable door. This lid is solid meaning the bugs will stay put until we choose to release them. We have broken one of our jars, which is the downside to glass, but the lid and handle fits on both a regular mason jar and our plastic (recycled) peanut butter jar. The included nets are mostly junk, but we love the jar.

Love the screen on top of the glass jar. Didn't think this one thru--should've bought a plastic jar. Granddaughter got nervous when a bug landed on her & dropped the jar & it broke!!! The little nets are super flimsy & broke after first use!

I mean the jars are jars. with modified lids. Only ant sized insects would be able to escape the jars. I wasn't sure what I was expecting from the nets. One came broken, and they're made of really thin plastic. The netting on them is also pretty shallow. I would honestly just use the jars by themselves to catch any insects, or look for alternative nets.

Not sure if this happened during shipping or prior, but I had to find another present for the person I bought it for. It's like someone played football with it. Do not recommend.
