So I'm trying to review a different color than the original color I tried and it doesn't seem to be allowing me to post two different reviews on this product. So I will just say that the first half of my review is for the purple color, which I loved. I have brown hair with red and purple highlights and I wanted something to refresh the vibrancy between colorings and this did a great job, adding a nice rich purple color to my hair. I didn't even have to use a ton of the product in order to get the color I was looking for, and I left it on for at least 20 minutes. However, I have a negative review on the specific color of the lighter lavender. The parts of my hair that I used it on were pretty light from where the purple & red had faded from, so I was pretty surprised the lavender didn't hold to those sections, even though I coated all my hair. First I used half the bottle on clean damp hair and left it on for 30 minutes. I was disappointed with the color result, so when my hair was dry, I used the other half of the bottle again and left it on for 40 minutes. The best I got was a silvery shimmer of lavender in spots -- my hair had sort of a duskier sheen to it. It looks nothing like the color swatches shown in the ad. I kind of liked it as an experiment but I'd never get the lavender color again because I wanted vibrancy, and the purple really delivered on my expectations. I do like how soft and conditioned my hair felt after rinsing it out after both colorings -- you don't need to use any conditioner and I *always* need to use conditioner. My hair feels soft and silky when it dried. So I do think this is a really good product if you get the color that is correct for you. I will definitely order the darker purple again.

SAVED my hair. I have dark black hair that I bleached blonde. I toned it. While the roots were still dark/hint of orange, my ends were white (you can imagine the damage). The color was still off so I used this and not only do I love the color (sandy brown) it help smooth out my hair like none of my other treatments would! It blended the roots so well (about a 7 lift) into my blonde. Very pleased.

So.. recently I have gone through a $300 highlights in salon that ended up not doing ANY blending 😪 after only 2 weeks I realised just how bad of a work was done (going for correction in a week time to see if they can fix it). But in a meantime I was looking for something to even out my hair tone. And this cali cali mask turned out just great! It gave this perfect “strawberry blond” shade that blended in my bleached blonde into my own dirty blonde roots. I have not washed it yet, so will be able to give an update after. I did application on dry hair for 15 minutes, and since my hair is rather thick, I think I used about 80% of the package. Will see if I can maintain the color through wet hair application. Update: adding one more photo after the first wash. Color became lighter, I have seen it being washed away in the bathtub, but enough remained to blend in my roots. I think during my next wash I will need to use the remaining product to maintain the color. I hope wet application would make the next tube of mask to last longer.

I have been bleaching my hair and toning it but I haven’t found a toner that gives me the color I want- enter this mask in Cali Cali- it gives the prettiest blonde color that is much more flattering on me than what I had previously been able to achieve. Plus it leaves my hair super soft. I leave it on for 20 minutes on dry hair, then rinse. The only thing is that after shampooing it does fade pretty quickly, but unless I can figure out a permanent color that looks like this, I’ll pay the price!

decent color, wish it lasted more than 1 wash

Would never buy again. Definitely not a sandy blonde color. I'm in the process of lightening my baylage to a beige blonde. Right now I have some pieces that are a really bright blonde and other pieces that are a darker blonde due to old dye build up. My colorist has to do several bleach sessions to get my hair where I want it. I'm american Indian so naturally dark hair. This toner didn't work for me. Turned my bright blonde an orange color. Looked so stupid. I was ready to cry. A few washes with clarifying shampoo and baking soda and it wasn't ad bad. Wouldn't recommend if you have naturally dark hair. May work if you are all blonde or naturally blonde

My hair is naturally dark blonde with mini highlights. This product makes my hair buttery soft and creates depth in the highlights and lowlights. I used the color Cali Cali. I will try other colors as well.

I use this all the time. It’s not as strong as regular chemical hair dye but it does leave it a lot healthier. You do need to be at a 9/10 blonde for it to really pop tho, I have level 8 roots and it’s basically green on them, but it’s beautiful on my lighter ends.

I love this. Replace your conditioner once a week and end up with beautiful honey blonde hair. My hair is highlighted and the highlights take very well.

Colour is soooo nice. But used more than half the bottle for my shoulder length hair and colour lasted 3 washes. Not a good value in my opinion.
