Will this reel take braided line? If so, what size?

Yes, the reel will take braided line. Depending on line diameter and stiffness, I'd guess up to 40# and maybe more.

Can it be left hand reel?

It’s right handed. You need a left handed specific reel if looking for LH use

Hi, what's the max drag and mono lbs can this Lew's Hyper Max 300 spinning reel handle?

Per Lew's web site, the drag is max 22lbs. In terms of line, I would propose that has more to do with the line in terms of its diameter and how stiff it is. I run 10# fluorocarbon (Seaguar InvizX) with ease. I'd guess you could spool it with 12#. Not sure 14# would work.
