Jimmyjane Afterglow Massage Oil Candle, Dark Vanilla

Works very well. Good lubrication and scent.

I make it a point to give the best oil massages to my lovers (as any smart man should). I've bought this particular hot oil candle about 4 times. These are my favorite candles for several reasons (aside from price). This particular scent, Cucumber Water, doesn't sound appealing but try it. The aroma is very addictive after a few uses. The oil in these candles does not clump at room temperature like some cheaper oil candles. Application is easier and yields a lotion-like feeling. The candle comes in a ceramic jar with a spout at the corner and does not overheat as easily as other types*. Candles with metal cans seem to get dangerously hot to the touch and don't pour so well.A useful side note: I also have a Jimmyjane Contour M massage stone which is of similar quality. It helps when your massage technique is a bit lacking. Just be sure to warm the stone up before using it as it's ceramic and uncomfortably cold. I insert it in my boxer waistband against my hip while I apply the initial layer of oil.*: The ceramic container can still get very hot when the candle gets very low/depleted. I heat up my leftover candles (try using a grill lighter, candle warmer, etc) and pour their remaining oil into my newer candle jars. Just be careful not to fill the new candles too close to their wick or they will have trouble staying lit as oil melts.

We love these candles. The Pink Lotus fragrance is our favorite, but Cucumber Water is good when you're ready to switch it up.The "wax" has a sleek hydrating feel, if you put it on at night and sleep with it you'll feel extra luxurious in the morning.I've found that if I let these burn for maybe half an hour before use, it melts all the way to the walls (so you don't get that burnt-out cylinder around the wick and waste any!) After half an hour it'll be warm enough that you'll want to rub it between your hands for a second or two before applying to more sensitive skin.If I had a teeny tiny suggestion for improvement, I wish the sides had just a little texture -- after massaging a bunch of this on, picking up the container gets a little tense.

If you look through my reviews, I generally give 3 stars and above. I don't like being a hater but I could see where that might water down my reviews. After this, I'm going to review another massage oil candle that, while it can certainly be enjoyable and is a smaller price point, doesn't hold a candle to the jimmyjane. I received my first as a gift and found myself burning it just to feel that hurts so good burn of the perfectly heated wax. Like tingle all over your body good. Although the inateuxrions caution against directly pouring onto, um, the top of man parts, my gentleman friend made no complaintk

It was a very nice massage oil. It smells wonderful and is pleasant to the skin, both me and my partner loved it. It does go very fast however and should really be saved for special extravagant occasions. Haven't tried the pheomones yet. Would reccommend so someone seriously trying to impress or who has a lot of money to blow.Do not apply to private regions.

Great one. However be careful when using oil directly from candle as it gets quite hot. Also, unlike regular candles oil melted unevenly and only in the center oil was melting, everything on the sides stayed...

Not as oily as I wanted it to be. Needed to use a lot to have the same effect as normal massage oil. Still a neat novelty though.

Highly recommend this candle and this scent. I found this line many years ago and just love the overall smell and the pheromone inducing qualities as well as it being multifaceted in its ability to be used as a massage oil as well as a scent

As noted by some, the oil/wax is quite nice when first applied but does become slightly waxing.The smell is very pleasant. I also agree that it takes a TON of time for it to melt.
