Q: Does this come with the plate that connects the distributor to hold it in place?

If you are replacing a distributor that already exist, this purchase will have everything you need to put a new one in.

Q: Has anyone had any issues with this distributor not lasting a year?

Failed after 36 days. just out of the window to return it. The camshaft position sensor is located in the distributor. It often fails quickly in these aftermarket distributors. This was my third try after returning two previous ones, to try to get a good one. I will now pay the $300+ for a Nissan OEM part. Do not buy this distributor.
