Oolong Heaven ~ Lovely Tea
What a lovely oolong. First, I will note the tin itself is wrapped in a rustic blue paper. This may degrade over time, be careful. The tea smells soft, floral, and very much like an oolong but more refined. There are prominent floral notes, a softer dried citrus fruit note that's so delightful, the gentle earthiness of oolong is playfully along for the journey. A delicate symphony of refined tea flavors. I enjoyed this very much, lighter and more fruity than most oolong teas. I would say the price is appropriate for the quality and charming packaging. As it cools, and with each sip it gets better and more nuanced.

Great tea at a reasonable price
First sip and my wife and I know this was a winner. It is priced commensurate with its quality and flavor. So, it is a bit boutique and priced at about 30 cents per gram, but it's great for special occasions or if you are feeling like amazing tea. Dahongpao is a great tea and it is processed very well to produce a top notch tea. I don't give out 5 stars very easily, but this tea deserves it without reservation.

Poor Packaging Quality – Dye Comes Off on Hands
I was really looking forward to this tea, but the packaging quality is very disappointing. The box strongly stains hands — the black/blue dye comes off easily just from touching it. After holding the package for a few seconds, my fingers were visibly stained. This raises concerns about overall quality control and safety, especially for a product related to food. The tea itself might be fine, but packaging like this creates a very negative first impression and makes the product feel cheap and poorly made. I expect better quality from a food product sold on Amazon. I hope the seller improves the packaging materials, because this is unacceptable at this price point.

Tastes as good as advertised
Excellent Da Hong Pao tea has all the qualities of the original mother plants (since the 1st generation DHP sells for 1.2 mill per kilo, this is obviously a cloned version). Sweet, fruity, smooth, with the orange-red color has all the hallmarks of the original. A bit pricey, but worth it. Not sure what Super grade AAA means, but it sounds good.

Good taste and feels authentic
I am not a tea expert, but I like the taste of this tea. It’s crispy bitter and refreshing, with notes of floral aroma. My personal preference would be brewing the tea in a tea pot with filter using the amount of loose tea leaves covering the bottom of the pot. Dispose the first infuse of boiling water just enough to merge the leaves as a rinse. Then the leaves should be good for at least 2 rounds of fully infused boiling water. I can tell the tea farm is serious about their product. From the packaging label it’s grown and roasted in Wuyi Mountain area of Fujian province, where the authentic Wuyi Rock tea (Red Robe a.k.a Da Hong Pao is a kind of Rock tea) originates. And the distributer/exporter is located in Tianjin, a city known for its international trading activities. So no red flag on the authenticity here. I hope you will enjoy this tea as much as I do.
