I keep a stock of 100% natural and non-natural products in my hair arsenal, and use them interchangably depending on what I feel my hair needs and the style I am wearing. Sometimes natural products (coconut oil or shea butter for example) are too heavy for my hair if I plan to wear it out. However, if I wear my hair in a topknot or bun (which is about 70% of the time) I will use these and other natural items, because I want a heavier coating of protection and nourishment.I am very satisfied with this product. It does what I bought it to do - which is to give my waist-length, mixed ethnic, blown-dry (not flat-ironed) hair shine and protection from the elements and pollution in NYC. It's not greasy, not heavy, easy to apply, only a small amount is needed, it's smooth, thick, creamy, and it smells good - smells a bit like lemon, but just a hint of smell. That said, Amla is the very LAST ingredient so you are not getting a lot of Amla in this product. I bought this from a local drugstore last year (it's hard to find now, hence my ordering it from Amazon) and I read the ingredients before I purchased, so I knew this already when I placed my order here. It pays to read ingredient labels before you buy, so you know what you are getting. But as I mentioned, this product gives my hair what it needs so I did not mind the low level of actual Amla.So anyway, at night before wrapping I place a little of this on the ends and just a touch through the length, add a silk scarf, and in the morning my hair is shiny and moisturized. A little goes a long way if you are adding this to dry hair. I re-apply about every other night so as not to make my hair too greasy or heavy. This routine keeps my hair looking fresh and shiny until the next wash day (a week later). A quality 100% boar-bristle brush does wonders with this product when wrapping at night and styling it the next morning.This is among the VERY FEW drugstore products I have used this year that gives me dependable results every time, and I would definitely re-purchase.

Wonderful product! It leaves your hair soft and non-greasy but has a healthy shine and silky feel. It also smells nice.

This is a crap product . If i could have rated it lower than 1 star, i would've! Product left hair heavy and lifeless with a gunky feel even though i used it sparingly. I am also deeply disappointed with soft sheen carson because they have used the most blatant instance of false advertising I've seen in a long time. List of ingredients on the back show only weird synthetic chemically stuff. WHERE IS THE AMLA. They chose the wrong name. They should have called it Amla MYTH instead! I dumped it after using it that one time.

Definitely could tell the difference in moisture when i use this product. Works like a charm

This product is great for moisturizing your hair before bedtime. In the morning, you will notice that your hair is soft without having too much build-up (very light weight).

My 4c hair is still dry in the mornings. Still looking for just the right night wrap moisturizer for my kinky, curly hair. Would recommend for less coarse hair. Looking forward to trying new Carol's Daughter hair pomade for softer results.

I Love this product, but for some reason it's hard to find anymore I assume that is why it is so expensive...but I love the way it softens my hair.

I'm not impressed by this product. It didn't give my hair the balanced moisture that it needed. It didn't stimulate growth or give my hair a healthy sheen. I consider it nothing special. My hair type is 3c.
