I bought this to aerate wort prior to fermentation. I originally gave it 1 start because the product would not pump any air through the air-stone provided with the kit as if it was plugged up or defective. Pump and filter were OK, just could not create enough pressure to push air through the air-stone. NOTE I did dip the stone in sanitizer with the pump off before I put it in the Wort.XXXX UPDATE XXXX The seller contacted quickly to inquire about my difficulties using the product. Good customer service. Seller said the pump needs to be on BEFORE inserting the air stone into the liquid, otherwise the stone will clog. I tried their recommended procedure and it worked. I give it 4 stars due to the moderate amount of bubbles produced.

Works great
Works great, and makes a big difference in the final beer. I brewed the same kit twice in a row, once rocking the carboy to aerate it and once with this, and just watching the fermentation I could see how much better the yeast did with a properly aerated wort. Definitely wear gloves any time you touch the stone, as the holes are so tiny they clog up easily. I've found the easiest way to clean it and make sure it has optimum air flow is to put some 70% isopropyl alcohol in a small bowl, plug in the pump, and let the stone sit in the alcohol running while I brew, then after I aerate the wort I rinse the stone off with water and let it run in the alcohol again to make sure it's totally clean.

Perfecto para lotes de 20 litros o menos
The media could not be loaded. Es un equipo sencillo y fácil de usar pero no lo recomiendo para lotes de mas de 20 litros ya que el flujo de aire no es tan intenso.El único problema es que no indica cuando se debe reemplazar el filtro epa.

Beats shaking the fermenter!!
The Porpoise Brewing Oxygenation System quickly aerated a 5.5 gallon fermenter. I was expecting the process to be lengthy, however it only took 20-30 minutes. My guide was when the foam produced by the aerator completely filled the headspace in the fermenter it was done. The aerator was also pretty quiet. Besides being better than shaking the fermenter, it is way cheaper than pure O2, Worthwhile investment.

Gets it done
Product works fine. An inexpensive way to get oxygen in the beer while not having to shake the carbon all around. Pop this in for 30 mins and you should be good. Fine product for the price.
