Excellent camera. No issues with factory re-furbished version; indistinguishable from brand new.
The Canon 80D is a very fine unit. For me it was a step up from my Canon 5Ti. Note that I have exclusively used Canon cameras for well over 40 years with very few issues. One of my main uses of this camera is to take photos of the milky way and the northern lights in far northern MN. This camera has higher resolution and significantly improved low light capabilities relative to the 5Ti. Since I can't afford a full professional Canon, this was a good choice. At first I was slightly nervous about purchasing a factory refurbished unit. Well, it came with a full one-year warranty and there are no hints whatsoever that the unit is anything other than brand new ... no scratches, digs, nothing. I believe that the included lens (which I won't use) is actually brand new. Like all these DSLR cameras there is a learning curve; and everything isn't completely intuitive, but it comes quickly. I have found the built-in WiFi capability to be confusing to configure. For me that is not an issue at the moment as I just read the SD card into my computer manually. Highly recommended.

Camera takes great pictures and the autofocus feature is quicker than other ...
Got the camera in a different box from the Canon EOS 80D box, but everything turned out alright. Came with STM lens and 80D camera, one battery, battery charger, battery cap, and camera strap in addition with an instruction booklet in english and spanish. Other Canon lenses attach as well and the quality improves with the professional lenses that I have.Camera takes great pictures and the autofocus feature is quicker than other cameras. It has good sound for video but average quality for video in certain environments, but lighting corrections fix these issues easily and at its best, the 80D takes video with as good a quality as the pictures.I highly recommend this camera to anyone who is looking for a great camera.

Great camera!
I have just started to use this camera and it is great! It arrived with a dead battery but I have contacted the seller to get a replacement and had to purchase an extra battery; which I planned for any way. Will update once I get more info from the seller. I chose this camera because it has big bang for the buck. The kit lens included is pretty good, but I plan on increasing my selection with some prime and zoom lenses. Getting it setup took a few YouTube videos but was fairly straight forward and I don't feel overwhelmed by it's functionality. 1 star removed for the dead battery.

What A Deal!
I've had my eye on the 80D for awhile, hoping that a good deal would come that would be hard to beat. This one was the one I couldn't pass up. A refurbished Canon 80D with an 18-55mm kit lens at a very reasonable price. I am impressed that it arrived within 24 hours of placing my order. The condition is indistinguishable from that of brand new camera. As an amateur photographer, this is the last camera I should ever need.

Unfortunately came with a broken piece
Came faster than it was originally scheduled so 2 stars. Unfortunately as I was unboxing I noticed the body was damaged and it was not from shipping. I know there’s risks when buying refurbished but this is just upsetting.

Very Pleasantly Surprised
So I'm not a refurbished kinda guy, too many "grey market" electronics out there that you can get bit on. But, I really needed another camera for a shoot I'm doing in 3 weeks and the price on this was really good compared to brand new and after several days going back and forth, I hit the buy now button and hoped for the best. I was gonna wait on the 90D but again, this price swayed me to take a chance. When the camera arrived, the box it was in was not an 80D box. The box was actually for a EOS Power Shot VIXIA. So I already had doubts that I got what I ordered. But, after opening the box, I was happy to see the 80D and STM lens I ordered in bubble wrap in the box. I also got a battery and charger, strap and lens covers for everything. Also got an instruction book along with some paperwork on how to register it. The sticker on the box said "refurbished" so I again had doubts that I would be able to register it. But, again, I was happily wrong. I registered it online with Canon and began putting it through it paces. I took some quick snaps before I thought about the shutter count so I quickly looked at the menu and it said 4. Which happened to be the amount of pictures I had just taken. This camera had a 0 shutter count when it arrived. I've since taken some video and took some shots testing out both lenses and it did a great job. I am very happy with this purchase. I saved about $500 from what I would have spent buying all of this brand new and surprisingly I am very happy with this purchase. I have read some of the horror stories on here about getting crappy cameras when you buy refurbished but this experience was great and I am completely satisfied.

I am sad
I have used Canon's for years. Never have I had an issue until this camera. Pictures are not focuses on anything past 15 feet or so and nothing that has movement is focused either. I was using took similar shots using a Canon T6I using the Canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS USM L the results with the T6 were perfect. From still to running dogs that I was comparing the two cameras on. I also used the Canon 100mm and with the 80D I had a lot of Chromatic Abb. which I did not get with the T6. Also in full daylight I set both the T6I and the 80D to the same setting for my dogs wile they where running around Man mode Shutter Speed 2000 f2.8 ISO100. The T6I had prefect shots all around. The 80D I had dark shots. In order to get bright shots I bumped the ISO up to 640 and still the T6I was better, the 80D was a little dark and really really soft the focus. I am sure it is just that if or who did the refurbishment did a poor job or just did not care. I have no doubt that either is the case. Nor do I doubt that the Canon 80D is a good camera just not the one that I received. I have returned it to Amazon for a refund. I did not ask for an exchange, This has left a bad taste in my mouth if you know what I mean.
