Best Brain Nutrition book in the Market
Guys, this book is the bible if you care about your brain. Don't assume that because you are breathing, worrying about your daily chores or smiling at a fellow passenger that your brain is functioning to the best of it's ability. This book along with Dr. Amen's and Dr. Julia Ross's work is important for all to know. Take advantage of the cutting edge work in this field. Your family doctor typically has a lot of catch-up to do. Your education is paramount. I highly recommed this expanded UK edition.

Excellent book!
Everyone should read this or, possibly the new edition which has now come out. This book really gets to the nitty-gritty of how nutrition affects the mind and body. All information is well presented with great diagrams and charts for those who don't have any medical background.

My persoanl experience says it works
The book includes numerous suggestions for providing better nutrition for one's brain and thus the mind. While I follow a fairly good nutrition program, Holford provides new nutrition facts that have allowed me to take a healthy brain to an even better level. After a few weeks of taking some of the recommended supplements I've been able to measure a higher level of problem solving and memory. I will continue to ad Holford's recommendations to my diet.

Amazing information
This is one of the best books I've read on nutrition for improving mental performance and stability. After applying the core advises I felt more energetic and capable of doing intellectual effort for longer hours. Thanks Patrick Holford for writing this book !

HUGE eye opener/ easy to understand
If you have tried to read other nutritional info books & got overwhelmed and frustrated, this is one for you. I've actually READ much of it and I'm retaining a lot more from this book than I could from others.Highly recommended for anyone who wants to the real scoop on all the garbage we're putting in our bodies (and our kids' bodies).Life changing.

Linking Diet, Mind, Body and Environment
I picked up the first edition of this book in 2002 on a whim, while at the airport in Kuala Lumpur - before the book was even available in the US market. I bought it, not because I wanted to learn about how dietary choices might increase my IQ (because, after all, how can you improve upon perfection? ;), but because I wanted to understand how food might affect my mental and physical health.Although I cannot say whether or not all of Patrick Holford's claims about mega-dosing certain vitamins are scientifically accurate (after all, as I later came to find out, the man is an entrepreneur and nutritional consultant - not a nutritionist), the book revolutionized the way I think about food, body, mind, environment and overall health and well-being.Before reading Holford, I never imagined that depression, dyslexia, chronic stress, anxiety, schizophrenia, ADDHD, and many other mental and physical problems might partly stem from a faulty diet. I never realized that there might be a connection between relative intelligence and what we eat. I never thought our mood might be a produce of meals. And for that, I thank Holford. For those of you who would feel more comfortable learning about this fascinating subject from a accredited medical professional, I recommend The Brain Diet: The Connection Between Nutrition, Mental Health, and Intelligence, by Dr. Alan Logan (2007). Like Holford before hime, Logan shows how diet is underlying factor of many medical conditions, such as depression, anxiety, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases, migraine headaches, ADHD, etc.
