“Distance is a suggestion.”
“This Cable Isn’t a Power Cord — It’s a Declaration of War Against Short Cables Everywhere.” Most powered amps and monitors come with power cords so short they might as well be decorative ribbons. I’ve lost shows, sleep, and a small fraction of my sanity because manufacturers apparently believe the average musician sets their gear up two feet from an outlet inside a well-lit utopia. I live in reality. Reality is dark. Reality has stages built in 1974. Reality has outlets hidden behind concrete pillars, next to haunted mop sinks, or guarded by disgruntled sound techs named “T-Bone.” Enter this monster: the 12ft Extra Long 3-Prong AC Power Cord. Calling it a “cord” is disrespectful. This is infrastructure. This is the Department of Energy in cable form. When I unrolled it, it made a sound like a steel door opening in a nuclear facility. It hit the floor with the confidence of a cable that has powered things it won’t speak about. Things in basements. Things with warnings. Things with knobs labeled only “DANGER.” Is it overkill? Absolutely. So is wearing a parachute to get the mail — but if gravity decides today is the day, you’re ready. This cord is so long, I’m convinced it violates geometry. I plugged it into an outlet that was clearly too far away and it said: “Distance is a suggestion.” It doesn’t tangle. It doesn’t kink. It doesn’t complain. It lies there like a patient industrial serpent waiting for orders. I powered amps, monitors, subwoofers, smoke machines, and one questionable device I found in a storage closet. The cord didn’t blink. It just delivered raw, unfiltered electricity like a freight train loaded with lightning. Why it’s perfect: Long enough to reach ANY outlet Thick enough to tow a compact car Serious enough to make other cables step aside Flexible enough to coil without starting a fight Heavy enough to be used as a melee weapon backstage (if required) This cord didn’t just solve a problem — it declared dominance over the entire problem category. If you’re tired of short, pathetic, apology-of-a-power-cord excuses that come standard with pro audio equipment… If you’ve ever run a cable across a room like you’re laying fiber optic for the military… If you believe electricity should be delivered with authority… Then this is your cable. Five stars. If cables had a union, this one would be the foreman.

Great replacement cable.
I recently inherited an older HDTV that was missing its power cord. After checking the local big box stores, I was shocked at the $15+ prices some of the replacements were going for. A quick check on Amazon and I ended up ordering this model. In addition to being 1/2 the price for twice the length (I got the 12' model), it works perfectly. Both plug ends fit solidly into their sockets and the rest of the cable feels well made. Don't spend more.

cord didn't melt like old one did
I have one of those houses built in the 70's, that used aluminum wiring when they built the house. To make a long story short, aluminum wiring cause spikes and surges in your outlets which can and will start fires. The cord I had before was plugged directly in the outlet. One day I was watching my Lcd TV and all of a sudden my TV started to send off a alarm sound. I cut it off and went over to unplug it and the plug had actually melted into a mess. I couldn't even find the plug pieces until I let it cool down. I since have rewired the room and put surge protectors on every outlet so that it won't happen again. I haven't had the cord for long but it had it's use before and after I rewired. All I know is that I had no problems with this cord. Thank you amazon. 12 feet of cord is the biggest bonus since my TV is on a rotating stand hanging in the middle of my bedroom. I will buy this again when I do my den the same way.

This brand new extra long power cord was perfect for our LED TV
This brand new extra long power cord was perfect for our LED TV. I mounted the TV on a wall bracket and needed a long power cord to reach the electric outlet. This cord was great. It fit perfectly into the power plug on the TV, and reached to the outlet without any problems. The price for this was the best I found anywhere, and shipping was incredibly fast. This was a really great buy. Mind you it is a "power cord" NOT an extension cord, so if you need a power cord, this is the place to get it. Thanks so much.

12 Ft Long TV Power Cord - Power is the operative word!
I was given an older printer without the power cord. In all my cords from previous devices, I couldn't find one to fit. In the manual which I found online, it only referred to the cord as "the one you were given". I was a little reluctant to buy this, not knowing if it would work or not. However, as soon as I plugged it in, it powered up the printer immediately. I bought the 12' length to give a little more length, and it was perfect. It arrived in a sealed plastic bag inside the box for added protection which I appreciated. It's a heavy duty cord with its joints and pins intact. For $9.99, I would definitely buy this cord again.

Good cord for most applications.
I bought this cord to use as an extension for a 120V 30W 6" fan. The fan had a 5 foot cord with standard green, black & white colored wires that were 12 or 14 AWG. This cord had purple, brown (???) and green primary wire that was 16 or 18 AWG. I don't know if those are standard colors for somewhere else, but they are odd for us in the U.S.A. It was just an inconvenience to have to test them with a multimeter. That wire should be fine for my application, but could be iffy depending on what you want to power. Since the equipment end is a standard IEC type plug, the primary wire size should be advertised or it should have a power rating. A 12 foot cord should have 14 AWG or better since the manufacturer doesn't know what this cord will be plugged in to. I am an electrical engineer by trade, and gave 3 stars because it should be sufficient in most applications like TVs or DVD/Blu-Ray players. I would not recommend this for high power applications. An internet search can find an AWG/length/power chart that could help determine if this will work for you.

I bought an old Samsung TV off someone who didn't give me the power cord. I thought I got a lemon but decided to take a chance with this very reasonably priced cord. I now have a fully functioning TV. The cord is solid. Thank you!
