I love this water bottle
I noticed a lot of negative reviews on this item, and I'm not sure why!I bought this at my Giant Food Stores in September of 2012. When I first got it, I noticed it was a little hard to suck the water out of the straw, but it gets easier once you break it in.I don't like cold water, so I never use the freezer stick. I tried it once, and I noticed the only water that gets cold is the water INSIDE the straw, so you get a shot of cold and then luke warm. It's durable, easy to clean, and the handle is great. The only reason I am buying a new one is because I dropped it really hard on concrete and it cracked by the top part of the handle, so I can't fill it up the whole way. (I have dropped it MANY times, and it only broke recently)I would say it's a great buy if you want to keep room temp water with you at all times (travels well in the car in the passenger seat ;) ) which is perfect for me!

Straw doesn't work properly (air leak)
I am sad that my straw doesn't work properly. The seal isn't tight around the cap so I get air mixed with water ;( When I tighten it... It's as if it's stripped (meaning it doesn't tighten). I'm probably going to try to return it but that seems like a lot of trouble. I really like the size and convenience of this item so it would be great if it worked. I didn't have any problems that some had mentioned with regard to tilting it incorrectly while drinking.

Convenient and easy to use on-the-go for daily water intake - no leaks!!!
After reading the reviews I was a bit skeptical about ordering this water bottle. It's perfect! If you are looking for an easy way to ensure your 64oz daily intake of water then this is it. Most reviews had to do with leaks, frustration with the filter and the straw mechanism - none of which have been a problem for me. If you decide to get this water bottle submerge the filter in a bowl of water for about 10 minutes, also, be sure that the filter and freeze stick are in alignment (the water drop on the filter should align with the writing on the freeze stick) connect it to the lid and you're in business. When securing the lid, one 1/2 turn should suffice and depending on how you're holding the bottle, you can adjust for the left or right hand. The straw mechanism works perfectly and to best use it, adjust it a tiny bit while your drinking - very easy. I have never seen a leak, I turned it upside down after filling to make sure. The only thing I cannot speak to is using the freeze stick because I drink my water at room temp; however, if you use the freeze stick, be sure it is completely dry before placing it in the freezer. This water bottle cannot be beat for the convenience and simplicity of it. Would highly recommend and I am going to purchase more as gifts!

Some kinks need to be worked out
Nice idea but not exactly functional. The straw makes it difficult to drink from. I thought I didn't seal it right so I tried to unscrew it and screw it back on but to my surprise it broke! I thought it was my fault or at least a faulty cap and straw so I bought another one (a smaller size). Same nonsense! The lid did not break this time but its impossible to drink from. Air somehow leaks into it which makes it hard to drink from. I contacted the company about the broken lid and they said they would ship a new one. I'm still waiting to see if they follow through.***Update****It took a while, but they did replace the lid and even included another filter. I was impressed they followed through. I use the bottle without the straw...Not really a big deal though.

Exactly what we wanted!
This turned out to be the almost-perfect water bottle for my wife.My wife really likes having a 64-oz water bottle. Besides being convenient since she doesn't need to fill it frequently, it's also easy for her to know that she's had her daily quota of water - just finish the bottle! She had previously used, for a number of months, another 64-oz water bottle that she bought at a local grocery store. Unfortunately, the "fine print" on the bottle said "not dishwasher safe" and - you guessed it - it ended up in the dishwasher by accident, and the deformed bottle headed off in the recycling bin for another life. After some research, we settled on this item, and so far, she thinks it's really good. Here is a brief overview of the salient points:Pros:* It holds 64 oz* It's clear so you can see what's inside* The "ice straw" can help to keep the contents cold* So far, the top seals to the container well and easilyNeutral:* The counter dial on the cap is largely pointless, and tends to move when removing/installing the cap unless you're VERY careful* The filter might be a nice addition, but I'm not sure how useful it really isCons:* Freezing the "ice straw" is cumbersome. It requires you to:1 - unscrew the ice straw from the lid,2 - unscrew the filter from the ice straw,3 - wash the ice straw if necessary,4 - dry the ice straw thoroughly (inside and out) because any water inside will form ice which will easily block the straw,5 - freeze the ice straw,6 - re-assemble in reverse order. If you don't remove the filter from the straw, the entire contraption won't work since water will freeze inside the filter and block it fully.Do we recommend it? Definitely. It's a good product. And if ours broke, we'd probably buy another. But it might be improved by reducing the price, and removing the ice straw and filter, and giving us a nice, simple, plain siphon straw.

Disappointing - not worth the money
I like that the bottle has a filter but you can't squeeze the water out, you have to suction the water out of the bottle. The bottle is not air-tight when you put the lid on, so when you suction the water out you have air coming in and you feel like you are drinking water through a broken straw. Unfortunately, I used the bottle twice and it's been under the sink ever since. Didn't want to throw it out because it was too expensive to just throw away. I also bought an extra filter that's sitting in my pantry, lost money there too.
