LogRite 42" Aluminum Handle Cant Hook

As a retired Lineman I've used my fair share of cant hooks over the years. All had wooden handles and some I broke and some I did not. Long retired now, I never thought I would need a can't hook again. That is until I started removing trees on my property.Short of attempting something stupid, I believe I've found a cant hook that is going to outlive me.The handle is made out of aluminum versus wood, aluminum adds rigidity to the overall feel. While others have aluminum handles, they're just not as thick as the xxxxx.The handle has a sleeve over it to provide a better grip. What I like about it is that it's yet to slip off and send me flying backwards.The hook itself is made of steel and what I like about it is the fact that it opens fully allowing me to roll larger logs.Personally I opted for a shorter model (42) as I have a pretty good idea of the tree diameters that I will be working with. Besides I often have to canoe out to some of the sites so there is no sense in overkill.Build quality and reputation are what sold me on this particular brand. Another way I see it is from the standpoint of not injuring my back and how much that would cost in doctor bills. Seems like a no brain's to me.

This cant hook is lightweight and easy to use. Build very well! It is so handy for turning small, as well as large logs on the ground, and even on my sawmill.

Used it when we work at the sawmill to roll the logs.

Solid, handy and very useful. Wanted one solid enough to use with larger logs. This fits the bill. Plenty stout.

The tool seems well made, but it just doesn't latch on to medium size logs, something one person can move. Not really working for my needs.

This Tool enables me to move 400 lb pieces of Tree Trunk that I would normally have left where they fell.
