Good Place to Start
I found this book on a list of suggestions and decided to give it a try. I'd do just about anything to not have to speak in front of an audience, but there are times it is unavoidable for me. I've had times I've done really well, and times I've bombed. I think this is a good resource, whether you have never spoken in public before, or have many times but feel the need to hone your skills. A lot to think about, and all the planning strategies, I think are a great exercise in putting your thoughts together before you get up in front of your audience.

A Hands on Gift for Public Speaking
I read 'Speak With No Fear' a few months back as I lead a team of Sales Managers and required a resource I could share with them to improve their public speaking. This workbook now takes it to the next level because it's the practical, hands-on approach where you complete the full circle of learning, understanding and then application. The workbook is such a comprehensive resource and the design and structure is clean and easy to use. This is a wonderful companion to 'Speak With No Fear' the book.I did receive a free copy of this book but that did not impact my comments or review score.

A great book for your skills tool box.
This is a good resource for folks who may have never spoken in public before, or who do so every day but want to hone their skills. As someone who comes from a successful sales background, speaking to people every day, I still found new points to apply to my process. The author does a great job taking you through the material via a workbook approach. The lessons are very approachable. A great book to add to your tool box.

Good workbook
I was hoping for a concrete, step-by-step approach to instill confidence, but this is still a good workbook, especially for those new to public speaking. Although a little light on actual content, the workbook format allows the reader to record his/her own thoughts and responses to hypothetical situations designed to promote confidence and to conquer the fear of failure. Utilizing examples from popular culture helps keep the content fresh and relevant for most of the general audience.

well written
This is a great fill in the blank book for those who have trouble with public speaking. It helps the reader figure out why they are afraid of public speaking, which is exactly why i picked up this book. I will definitely try the tactics recommended in the book in my next public speaking opportunity. Recommend!

A must-have for any public speaker.
Public speaking is a universal advantage that helps one in almost every professional and personal situation. This workbook guides one to develop this much-needed skill. It is a companion piece to the author's other book, Speak with No Fear. I haven't read that book, but I still got a lot out of this workbook.

connective
I love how Mike Acker uses real life experiences to help the reader connect to their own life. if you or you know someone who struggles with public speaking this will change your whole perspective on the concept. he breaks down the whole subject into easy sections that allows the reader to better tackle their fear. This book would make a great gift.
