Nikon 200-500 mm/F 5.6 AF-S NIKKOR E ED VR Lenses

Delivered on time, as promised. Quality was as good it as was promised as well. This is a solid consumer grade lens, that rubs shoulders with pro lenses. Not as perfect-quality as Nikon 500mm or 600mm & not as expensive either. But the pic quality is not far behind. Can be handheld but I'd advise against it. Put it on a tripod so you can focus on the picture & not on applying the right muscle strength. Solid contender if you want to go beyond the common 70-200 range.

Love, love, love this lens. I’ve been wanting a good Lenape to capture wildlife... and I finally have it. The o my downfall is that it gets heavy after a while. But I wouldn’t trade it! So glad I purchased this lens!

I’m not a professinal photografer it’s only hobit, most of what I’m shooting are birds and wild life around my house (I live in Costa Rica), and usually they are not comming too close, so this lens with d850 is amazing.

Great lens for several hundred dollars less than if bought in a camera shop. Using for wildlife photography and correctly identifying birds from a distance.

Dei vari generi di fotografia probabilmente quelli che richiedono lunghe focali (foto naturalistica e foto sportiva) sono i generi più complicati a cui approcciarsi.. dato il costo esorbitante delle ottiche professionali.. Nikon con questo obiettivo messo sul mercato di recente ha fornito a mio avviso un valido strumento entry level per tutti gli appassionati (non professionisti) che vogliono cimentarsi in qualche foto naturalistica o sportiva senz dover vendere un rene. Parliamo di un obiettivo con un escursione 200-500 mm con un diaframma massimo costante da f5.6 (non male per questo range di lunghezze focali). Prodotto davvero interessante che io abbino alla mia nikon d750 full frame con grande soddisfazione. La nitidezza è adeguata alle fotocamere dense di pixels (ripeto è un'ottica moderna progettata per sensori moderni) ed avendo un diaframma massimo costante f5.6 è possibile usarlo anche in abbinamento con un buon moltiplicatore di focale: io lo uso con moltiplicatore nikon 1.4x su full frame (arrivo quindi quasi ad un 750mm equivalente) e mi ci trovo benissimo: il diaframma passa ad f8 e la mia Nikon d750 riesce a mettere a fuoco senza problemi. L'ottica è dotata di un validissimo sistema di stabilizzazione integrato e permette di bloccare l'escursione quando non lo si usa (tastino lock). Chi userà questa ottica si divertirà sicuramente ma occhio: parliamo di un'ottica con un peso importante che abbinata ad una buona reflex comincia a pesare.. servirà abbinarla almeno ad un buon monopiede (a proposito l'ottica è dotata del classico supporto su quale avvitare treppiede e monopiede come si vede dalla foto). Il limite principale di questa ottica è che non è tropicalizzata.. pertanto non la reputo adeguata a chi ne fa un uso professionale: sappiamo che chi lavora in ambito naturalistico o sportivo deve lavorare in tutte le condizioni atmosferiche e questa ottica non è dotata delle protezioni interne adeguate (il trattamento di tropicalizzazione apounto). Sinceramente per chi vuole semplicemente approcciare a questo genere senza spendere un occhio della testa la ritengo un best buy!

If you are a Nikon user and shocked by the price of Nikon Z mount lenses then this may be the deal for you being much, much cheaper than the Z equivalent. 200-500mm FL is on a FF camera, however, if you use this lens on an APS-C camera such as the D5600 or the D7500 your FL equivalent is 300-750mm Focal length. That is a huge amount of reach for the APS-C sensor. With all the hype on Z mount lenses these days, this older lens can be found for about US$1200. Just be aware that at 95mm lens thread the filters for this thing cost an arm and a leg. E.g. a CirPl filter will cost about US$200.

Its amazing lens for wildlife photography specially birds, & sports photography, I like the aperture 5.6 will not change in zooming. weight lighter than other lenses which have less options, zoom ring is easy to change even while shooting, VR so helpful when u shaking,& amazing focusing. if u use dx camera zoom will be more than 700 I recommend nikond500 camera , its amazing & best camera if u interested in wildlife or sports photography.
