The item itself is decent quality - the alarm unit and contact unit both feel solid, the sticky pads supplied are strong and the alarm is loud when it sounds.Problem is, I bought it to use as a "fridge door open" alarm - the seller suggested it was suitable for that in the "questions" section above.Unfortunately, for the fridge I have, it wasn't.The alarm and contact unit need to touch, and also to be aligned to a very specific sensitive area on the alarm's surface. If they are not, the alarm sounds - which is the point.If you have a fridge like mine, the distance between the door and insulating strip around the door, to the case of the fridge, is far to big a gap for this system. Also, constant door opening and closing will put the alarm contacts out of alignment very fast.Other issue is that the most suitable "mode" setting on the alarm means it will bleep constantly all the time the door is open, rather than sound after a time delay.Just not suitable in my particular case. Thought I'd share this in case others were thinking of using it the same way on a similar fridge type.

The alarms make a good loud noise when they work, but they work completely randomly. The instructions are almost impossible to follow as they have been translated from another language, so the Installation is just pure guess work with beeps. You never know if it's armed or disarmed, so if you test it and it works...you disarm it on the keypad...then you go to arm it again and it just doesn't work! You'll never know if you've you "alarmed it" that it is actually alarmed without testing it and resetting it again.On top of this the adhesive and build quality is not great, or at least they could have provided more adhesive, as it doesn't say in the instructions that the magnet will only work on one side of the unit. Meaning I had Installed it on the other side so it was never going to work.Honestly more hassle than it's worth, this is becoming a regular occurance with Amazon products recently. Poorly made with impossible to read Instructions, and cheap enough that it's not worth sending back

The media could not be loaded.  Simple but good. When i open that case, i found a good quality product, very easy to install. Also there are lots of sound tunes included, but I still like that dog woof and the cock crow (maybe can scare someone want to open the door in the midnight?).first time use door alarm. but quite happy with that, not expensive, but effective.Highly recommend.

Edit: they saw this review and sent a replacement and was very pleased.This is a great system... while it works. We had it up and working for a little over a month but then the adhesive has given way on one of the units, sending it falling to the floor. This wouldn't be a massive problem as we could restick it using new adhesive, the problem is the fall has more than halved the sound it makes... you can now only hear it if you're stood next to it. Not ideal! Frustratingly the one month return window closed a week before this happened so now we're stuck with a half working alarm.The instruction leaflet that came with this is bad also, we had to come here to find out how to make it work... if you're struggling to get it to work, there are two tiny arrows that need to be lined up on thr sensors that the leaflet doesn't mention!

My son is now 2 years old and he is smart enough to figure out how to open up the door to the lawn. So I need to know if he goes out by himself. This device comes in handy. I set it to the forth mode so whenever he opens up the door, I will hear the “Di Di” sound. And now I will know if he wants to go out by himself. Plus the “Di Di” sound is not too loud so it wouldn’t be too scary for him.The only thing to complain is that it doesn’t come with battery. So I have to go out to get some before I know it actually works.

Needed these for my two back doors for night time security measures. Tested all 4 chime settings, loud enough & easy to use. Good Product.

I have this for security reasons, I bought this product for our house and have installed in on the front and the back doors .I have children in the house and sometimes if something happen I can’t look after all of us.It comes with 2 pairs, it is so easy to set up. There 3 setting.1. Alarm on when door open, it would only “ding dong”once2. Alarm on when the door open off until door close. Proper non stop alarm sound3. Alarm on when door open until door close. “Beep Beep” every 2 secondsThose setting are very useful. The size of it are the smallest .It come with adhesive, all I need is to stick on the door frame after choose the setting. Took me all together 2minutes to sort it.I’m very happy with this item.

I bought these to use as a warning when our doors opened, I only wanted the door bell noise function but these are intermittent and change function by themselves. I end up with a constant alarm that a neighbour has complained about because it is so load and have now had to take them down because I never know what sound will play. Waste of money.
