Very sturdy and perfect for literacy instruction!

This is a great resource and once students become familiar with how to choose and connect the letters it is a great learning tool. However, the English language only includes a few letters that are not used in the final (v, j, q) and only a few others not found as the final consonant in CVC words (c, w, etc); so it's understandable that they might not be needed for the final consonant with the CVC cards. This set of CVCC and CCVC words do need several of those consonants and if they are to be used with those cards the set should include the letters needed to complete the ending consonant blends. The set only includes 9 consonants (b, n, s, x, g, d, m, p, and t), and while those may be the only ones needed to complete the CVC activity cards, the CVCC cards also contain words needing k and l (pink, belt, skunk, trunk); the manufacturer could have included the 4 additional ending consonants (3 k and an l) consonants so the set could be used with both CVC and CVCC/CCVC activity cards.My students were able to find the letters in the beginning consonant sets but it was frustrating that they were unable to connect them in the correct way.

Great for practice!!

The cards are thick and durable which I love, however there are no instructions on how I could use this product. Not even printed on the box. That’s a shame - many parents wouldn’t know how best to use this product.

Like another poster, I had no light blue k for this kit. The description says the CVC box comes with all the letters, but you can’t spell pink, skunk, or trunk from this set. Bummer because otherwise they’re good.
