Quality DC breaker
This works great for protecting your solar panels. They are easy to snap into your electrical box, and they are compact so you can use a lot in a small box. They hold the wires well, great value for the money!

Perfect breaker for solar
This breaker is the perfect solution for my solar batteries. I use it for a 48 volt system. the safety release works great. This unit is very easy to install with rugged connections. I like that it has dividers between the posts for safety and that it breaks both posts. It is a large unit but it is the best option for a great price. I haven't tested the breaker with excess amperage but I see no reason it won't function as required, I have came very close to the rated amperage and it doesn't get hot.

This thing is big and solid. Great connections.
Seems very well made and certainly beastly enough. Lug connections are plenty big for 2/0 lugs. I always wonder about devices that say rated for 200 amps (or such) and then have small bolt downs for lugs - this is not one of those. Hard to test of course - I don't want to make a 160 amp short for a long enough duration to trip it, so I have to leave faith to the fact that it works or not. The test button works, and manually throwing the breaker is no joke, an effort with a big clunk.

Renogy needs to remove lock before shipping
Great lil box for the price minus the fact the lock is damaged from being tossed around before amazon put it in the shipping box. (Shipping box had no damage) so the lock got damaged from where ever it was packaged til when it shipped here. Other than that can’t complain. Would buy this again.

Very good circuit breaker
I love this circuit breaker, its heavy and built very well..the lugs to screw the wires are big and sturdy also it was shipped and delivered very fast.i was using a different breaker which would trip way before it get to 160amps but this one qorks very well. Would definitely reccomend..

Well built
Very happy so far with the Suntree 160 Amp DC circuit breaker. Much larger than expected but with the amount of current going through this in my setup, it easily handles the load. Updated 4/22/2022 Unit is still working well. Just realized that the unit I received didn't come with the insulators that should be installed between the conductors. Depending on your installation, these insulator plates could be important.

Very limited and inflexible
This is not a well-designed or thought-out load center for anything but some specific pre-determined scenario the brilliant minds at Renogy decided on. In my setup, I was only able to accommodate a single MPPT controller before maxing out the negative bus bar. Adding a second charge controller isn't even possible without some creative "expansion" of the bus bars. The main busbars are limited in terms of the number of terminals, especially the battery Negative/Positive which each have only 2 bolts for lugs and two much smaller hole terminals which can't accommodate any serious gauge wire (maybe AWG 8 at best). I ended up splitting AWG 4 into 2 hole terminals by spilling the wire into 2 "strands" to make it work, albeit in a crude way. If you are planning on using it as a combiner for PV inputs, it's limited to only 4 strings (I have a separate combiner box, so only had 1 set of black/red cables from the PV array). Ironically, the biggest bus bar is for the ground wires, which makes no sense as in all likelihood, the other bus bars will be maxed out long before the grounding busbar. Also, pre-stamped "concentric" holes are all located on the bottom of the unit only and none on the top or sides, so I had to drill out all those for my setup (see photos) And if I were to nitpick, the pre-drilled mounting holes are too close to the corners of the box, which makes it very challenging to use any kind of drill/driver to get at them (not enough clearance). I ended up drilling out other holes, so I can easily access them with a driver. All in all, another example of a crappy Chinese design. Next time, I'll probably just splurge on a Midnight Solar load center.

Heavy and solid electrical breaker box. I bought it to house industrial automation controllers on DIN rails in a pinch.
