One of the Best Out of Disney in a Long Time!
Up is one of my favorite films out of Disney in the past 20 years! The story is just pure family entertainment without all the hype of a typical princess flick. This book shows the creative process behind the iconic film and gives the viewer a glimpse into the creative genius of the team. Filled from cover to cover with a full range of images showing the development process of characters and environments, this book is ideal for Disney fans or fans of animation. Up had a distinctive artistic style to the animation, and here we get a peek into that evolution. The price of the book has gone up since I purchased it, most likely because the book is older and more rare now. So, I highly recommend jumping on one while you can before they become scarce.

Love this book and the wealth of information about how this film was developed
This book is a wonderful coffee table item. It is full of information on how the movie UP! Was created. It is an easy read with high quality images and detailed pages that will keep your interest. For anyone with an appreciation for Pixar films and the animation in them, this book will blow your mind. The intense research completed to establish realistic yet cartoonish settings in the film is fascinating. I have throughly enjoyed this book.

Very interesting
This is a cool book that documents the process the artists used in creating the movie. I appreciate this because if I just wanted to stare at static images from the movie I would just pause the movie.

Excellent Art Book. Up there with all of Pixar's Other Art Books
Beautiful Book! I have my fair share of Disney Pixar Art books, and while I love them all, this one is one of my favorites. It's divided into classic Movie Art Book sections, but all the art is wonderful! The character design sketches for Mr. Fredrickson on the inside cover are just endearing, and I particularly like that aspect of the book. While a lot of the art is digital now, much of it was also brilliant gouache, which is lovely. I recommend this for any collector of art books, or even if you're just an avid fan of the movie, because it really is a wonderful companion to the film itself.

Adorable Book
I love Up. It is a fantastic movie. This book was a great addition to the coffee table. It is really well done. I would purchase it again if mine were to get ruined.

A great "art-of" book
Despite some critical reviews here (which I can understand their specific complaints, entirely), I find this book to be very gratifying. As an artist working in the field of illustration and animation (see my books, REJECTS, SKETCH INFECTUS - [...]), I find this book to be hitting the peak of "art-of animation" books. There is just enough to keep me interested and inspired, and if you've seen the film, it's a great supplement. Pixar keeps the art genuine and inspired, and this book shows exactly where their mindset is. Bravo.

Every Pixar fan needs this book
We have several books in this series, but the Up one is my favorite. It’s a great gift for any Disney nerd. Love how the authors share how this story was born- you feel like you were there.

If you loved the movie or are seeking to learn a bit further about animation, this is a book that you have to buy. It's short, but deep in every line. This is not a book to check for a lot of early character designs, but more to know what they thought to do it, their research (and what they applied from it), what they made to have a strong design in the environment and characters, the colorscripts, and also their heart-breaking experiences during production (short but is emotional). This is your book.
