I ordered this speaker for my tile shower; however, I decided to mount it to a vent in the shower instead of mounting to the tile. The speaker has a strong magnetic bond with the vent. This speaker is well made and durable. It does not look or feel cheap at all.I was able to charge the speaker in a few hours. When it was fully charged, the indicator light went off. Connecting the speaker to my phone was very simple.I played around with the speaker. It has good quality sound that is not muffled at all. As another reviewer stated, I dislike the loud noise it makes when you power on/off and when connecting an item via Bluetooth. I did not come across a way to turn this sound off.Instead of powering down when I was done, I stopped the music via my phone and left the house. I wanted to see if the speaker would power down on its own as stated in the directions (when the Bluetooth device is no longer connected). It did power off as described.I love this speaker. It motivates me to get ready and puts me in a good mood listening to uplifting tunes.

Easy to set up and sounds good

This is a review of Sharper Image Spastudio Shower Speaker Waterproof + Bluetooth, Magnetic Mount. Mounting is easy just make sure when you place the base down you're ready for it to stay there for a while as it's not easy to readjust. The black part of the mount is a magnet so attaches easily and can swivel around if necessary. It has a thick silicone seal to prevent water from going in and it's supposed to be attached to the base but it broke and I barely put any force on it when taking it off, no big deal as it still seals correctly. The battery life is pretty good, I haven't had had to charge it since I've had this (about a month) and I use it almost every day. The sound quality isn't going to make you feel like you're at a concert or anything but for a shower speaker I wouldn't need anything more. It's clear enough and can get pretty loud. I went back on and forth on a few shower speakers and I'm glad I settled on this one.

First, as a shower speaker the sound is good until it discharges. At that point a loud beep repeats for 15 minutes going off periodically. One has to decide if trying to turn it off with wet hands or risking a series of jump scares is worth hearing your favorite morning podcast. Personally I would not recommend this speaker.

The battery life just doesn’t make me happy I think maybe after 3-4 days of playing music for roughly 30 minutes each day the speaker is on low battery and will just do a loud beeping while on and play is till charged. But overall for just listening to some tunes in your bathroom it’s decent on sound. Come with a magnetic mount which works well speaker stays still doesn’t fall off.

This is a nice speaker and great quality that you'd expect from Sharper Image products. This is a perfect addition to our shower because I have a waterproof phone/tablet mount so I can watch shows while I shower but a complaint I've had is the sound quality. Being able to add this speaker makes the whole experience perfect! Now I can see and hear what I'm watching clearly. Very nice speaker for shows and movies, clear and loud. I also like to use it at the pool since I know it's water and heat safe. Battery seems to be pretty good since I don't use it very long at one time. Holds its charge well too. Like that it uses a C type charger. Small and compact. All positives.

So I needed a speaker for my one bedroom apt in Brooklyn. I went with the Sharper Image shower speaker because of its sleek design and magnetic wall attachment. When I received it the product looked great and the sound was perfect for my needs BUT there is a major issue. The battery life is horrible. The battery lasts maybe 15 minutes before needing to be recharged. Looks great but the battery life makes it unusable.
