As long as you are sitting these on top of the head around a bun they can be secured with a hair pin, be aware they not bendable and you may need to add to pieces of elastic to form an X so you can use more hair pins. We are thinking about removing the hair combs. The color we bought is Rose gold and very pretty to look at. Stones are glass and the crown is a plated metal. I purchased the 2 pack for $6.99 and I think the value was great. The size fits on top of the head of a 3 and 7 year old. Use with supervision of course.
