Simple dinner table game
A simple game, easy for all to learn and participate in. Loses its novelty very quickly though. Good stocking filler or something for a family dinner party.

Colour matching PEG game, a fun test of MEMORY...
This isn’t chess really, it’s a colour-matching game with pegs. You get 6 different coloured pegs (4 of each colour) and a dice with a different colour printed on each side. Really easy to play:1. Remove all the pegs.2. Jumble the pegs and place randomly on the board with the black sides facing up.3. Each player takes a turn to roll the die and find the corresponding coloured peg on the board.4. If a match is found, the player keeps the peg and rolls again for another turn.5. After all the pegs have been removed, the player with the most pegs, wins. It’s a lot like a pairs matching game with picture cards except here you’re directed to find the second part of the pair by way of matching the colour shown on the dice. It’s a good test of MEMORY, fun for children and adults alike; multiplayer but you could also play by yourself as there’s still the challenge of correctly remembering where you last saw each colour. You could also tweak the rules/gameplay to create fun VARIATIONS e.g. everyone gets 30 seconds to memorise the peg positions before they’re turned over and the game commences OR when the dice is rolled, all 4 pegs for that colour have to be found in one attempt in order to win that turn (eek!).So, I definitely think this is cool - simple to play and fun; nice quality too with the compact design and easy to store in a drawer with all the pegs plugged in. Brilliant value for money!

Great game for all ages with potential for varied game adaptations
I really like this game and have played it with various people from aged 8 to 60 who all have enjoyed playing it. Admittedly we did change the rules after only 2 goes following the rules on the box as it was far too much hassle to turn all the pegs colour side up, memorise the peg positions and then turn them all over to black side before starting play. We simply abandoned the first timely step and muddled them up and placed black side up from the start without knowing peg positions and started without knowledge, meaning you had to learn peg positions as you played by watching all players turns and trying to remember where certain colours were. We also invented our own rules like throwing the dice and seeing how many of that colour you can find in a row or if you failed to find the colour first time, other opponents could have a turn finding the colour you didn't find. This added extra challenges and engagement. Not sure why it is called chess. I can only assume its because they look like pawns. Or it could be derived from the ancient Sanskrit word 'chaturanga' meaning 'four members of an army' which later became known as Chess. There are four of each colour in this game, but maybe I am looking to deeply into this and it does not ultimately effect the game. It just might give buyers the wrong impression. It is however, a great simple and fun challenging game to play which is all that really matters. It did also remind me of playing the pairs card game, which is probably why I adapted the rules to similar play of the pairs game almost immediately. The build quality is good. It feels nice and pegs are easy to pick up. It is a nice size for travel too whilst not being too small and fiddly like some travel games. I think it would of been nice to have a pouch to carry this in as I would prefer not to take the bulky box everywhere and it would help keep pegs safe if playing out and about as the pegs taken off the board have a tendency to roll off the table, but I can resolve that myself as only a personal preference. For the £7,90 price at time of review, I think it is well worth the price, it is good quality and will bring hours of fun to all ages.
