Does the product contain any chemical that might leach and cause death to fish in a freshwater aquarium when submerged over a long period of time? LK

I found it completely useless for me. The tape does not adhere to any surface and makes it difficult to hold on.

why is is listed as "outdoor only"?

Not sure, but it is fantastic tape. My guess is that they do not want the tape used inside for DWV applications. I use it extensively outside for drainage and sprinkler applications, and it holds tight.

Is this tape plain, solid black...or does it have the design on it as pictured in the item picture??

This is a black tape with the design as shown in the picture.

Can this be used on foam insulation tubes on hvac lines outside?

In my opinion yes. I've used it in doors as well as outdoors, of course nothing last forever so inspect it every 6 months to see how it's holding up. You can always add new tape as the old tape deteriorates.
