Rock Band Track Pack: Vol. 2 - Nintendo Wii

My wife has the Karaoke Revolution (& American Idol sub-branded) games and USB microphones for the Wii. We do not have any Band/Hero instruments otherwise. So I know how much my wife likes to sing, and these songs on this track pack are most in her style, especially Fall Out Boy, Weezer & the Pixies. And as opposed to the songs on the American Idol games that I do not know, I can even sing the aforementioned songs, and Blondie and Smashing Pumpkins too. And so, the crux of my review is, that the microphones from Karaoke Revolution are compatible with this Rock Band Track Pack, the songs are fun to sing, and if we ever do want to buy and play instruments, it is a natural introduction to the genre.

This Rock Band game is probably the top one I play out of all the RB & GH games I have. It has awesome favorite songs, including what I believe is the all-time best song on any RB or GH, Judas' Priest's "You got another thing coming". Also, the Lynard Skynard, Cars, Police, Pixies, Smashing Pumpkins, etc. are awesome. Great game & value.

Picked this up for the tracks in the pack. Couldn't import them into our Rock Band game, and it won't register the guitar. Works well with the microphone but nothing else, not even the drums. Briefly thought about returning it, but we can sing along, so that seems ok. Hoping to get a version of Rock Band that will allow the import of songs.....go to Rock Band website to verify which ones will allow you to import the tracks from this before buying.

If you always wanted to be a rock star but were to shy to get up in front of an audience and sing, this is the answer! Stay at home in front of your TV and sing! Lots of fun and great way to get your confidence up before you try the local Karaoki bar!

We were a little late to the party when it came to buying Rock Band/Guitar Hero/Band Hero and the like. We own the Wii and have been searching for quite some time to find Rock Band for the console. We finally opted to buy the Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock set because we basically needed equipment and most of the games didn't care what the equipment was from. Unfortunately, this one seems to care. Even though it is listed as being compatible with the Guitar Hero WoR set up, it is not. The only thing that has worked for us has been the mic. That being said, I can look at it as a cheap karaoke but it is definitely a let down that we're not able to do the drums and guitar. The music is a great variety for us and like I said, if we look at it as a cheap karaoke disc, the sting isn't so bad.On another note, the case for the disc was broken when we received it. This might have something to do with the seller sending it to us in a bubble envelope with absolutely nothing else included to protect the case/disc.

I love this game! I have played it with friends and family in the past, but of course this was years ago. Now it is collecting dust on a shelf, I suppose I should sell it....

Love all the songs on all of this series. Right up my alley and do I dare say age. LOL. I am driving family crazy. They will get over it soon, maybe. LOL
