I had purchased the Terrasoul dried Golden Berries and they were small Very dry, hard and tart. It was my first tone buying them dried and thought maybe they are not for me? So one night I was looking at various dried fruits and these Alovitox dried Golden Berries caught my eye and I thought I would take another risk as after buying many Terrasoul products I realized they tended to be on the dry side to extremely dry and hard like some dried mango slices I just bought and cannot chew Or return! So I open the bag and they not only smell pretty good they are bigger softer and have that faint sweetness and flavorful tartness I was hoping for. I generally eat a few of these with something sweet like dried mulberries or figs and chew them together for a better experience. When they say “sweet-tart” think TART-sweetish!😋

TASTE: These are an absolute Treat! I have always been the type to love sour flavors (sour patch kids candy, sour pickles, things that have my face pucker!). So when I found Goldenberries, in the past few years...I've fallen IN LOVE. I enjoy them fresh, seasonally and have them year round dried! The amount of flavor packed into each berry BURSTS in each bite of these dried berries. SIZE: Each berry seems slightly larger than others I've seen before. COLOR/HARDNESS: (will update with a photo) I wanna note that this bag (my first bag with this company) came with the berries double darker than I've seen them. Color of the berries is more of a brown orange than a bright orange I've seen, with no apparent affect to quality. Has not affected the flavor at all to me. I would buy these again in a heartbeat.

These are indeed quality golden berries and are soft and as described. However, although the product is excellent, it is quite a bit more expensive than other similar products although the vendor said that they choose their suppliers carefully and are more attentive to quality. I have had other Golden Berries of similar quality at lower prices, organic and from Peru grown by small farmers high in the Andes. I received the following explanation from the company which did not convince me why they are more expensive for what, based on my experience with other brands is not a unique product justifying a 50-60% premium. "We have one goal in mind, and that's to provide the healthiest alternative, sourced from organic and dependable sources. We source our product from farmers in Peru, and being very selective on the quality of product, while paying extra for it to be consistent year round. Unfortunately that increases our cost, and we have no choice but to charge more. We understand that we are not the cheapest brand out there, but the costs associated with making sure our product is of the highest quality, with every batch, are simply higher. We do hope that the quality speaks for itself, and despite this order having been made in error, we hope that you don't regret the purchase. Love these golden berries. Nice & tart, great in hot cereal and in muffins. They add a tartness to offset the blandness of cooked cereal.

I bought these for the many listed health benefits. I have to admit the first berry I ate, I did not like. I was going to toss them out but I decided to give it a fair shot. The more berries I ate the more I liked them. They ARE NOT sweet! They are very sour. If you like sour foods or sour candy then you will like these. I ate a couple handfuls for a snack 3 days ago. I became nauseous but I get that a lot. Then my tongue and mouth felt slightly swollen but the worst part is that my tongue and mouth feel like I have been sucking on a spicy pepper. My tongue is sensitive to cold and hot foods and drinks also but the whole inside of my mouth and tongue hurt! Even if my tongue touches the top of my mouth there is pain. I think if you are not allergic to these berries you should definitely try them. I’ve never been allergic to any food other than seafood. So I was not expecting this. I don’t regret trying something new just that I can’t eat them ever again.

These yummy dried golden berries are tasty and unique. The quality is excellent - snacks are moist, chewy and tart. A special treat for sure. This is the third time I have purchased this product as other family members love snacking on them, too.

My husband and I realized we weren't getting nearly enough potassium in our diets, so I ordered these. Pros: —I have a bunch of food allergies (blood test confirmed, in case you're worried I'm using that term sloppily) and also broader extreme histamine issues. So, it is really amazing that these berries haven't triggered any breathing problems or hives, etc! —they taste really nice: VERY sour, some sweet, and a little hint of bitter (we were joking that they reminded us of a healthier version of Warheads candy we had as kids) —they're making it easier to get potassium in our diets Note: —they contain a ton of little seeds (similar to strawberries or raspberries), so be aware of that if you require a seedless diet —I've included a photo of what one serving looks like. It's not very big, but since these are so flavorful, this serving size actually feels about like what we would pour for ourselves anyway. Final thoughts: We love these and will happily reorder!!!
