Junos Enterprise Routing: A Practical Guide to Junos Routing and Certification

I got this book more as a reference as our shop is trying to convert to all Juniper products. I learned a lot from the book. The book covers everything that you could ever imagine on the subject. I could see how this book would be super hard for a beginner though.

This book has a lot of good information. If you are new to networking it might be a little hard for you to understand and perhaps a more basic text is needed before diving into this one. The authors even note this in the preface I believe. They are assuming that most readers are coming from a Cisco background and therefore have good fundamental knowledge already.Information is technically correct but I would say needs a supplement in some cases if there is a protocol you don't understand.

Maybe I have been spoiled, but I am used to these things coming with a digital copy. This one didn't, I guess they figure that they charge twice for the content that way. Son, I am disappoint. No wonder so many people pirate content; not that I condone such behavior (I do not.).

I have always liked the O'Reilly books. They are wel written. Clear and with excellent examples.This was no exception.It has been a big help to me in moving from Cisco (15+ years experience) to Juniper Systems.It helped me pass the certification exams, and I continue to reference it.And I love the convenience of having it on my Kindle.

Been working on Cisco products all my life and recently started working for a shop that is 75% Juniper. This has been great for getting me up to speed!

This is a great book it has very language and the explains complex topics very clearly without missing any details. I specifically began reading this book becuase I could not find any books that explained multicast concepts in a manner that I could understand. I have only read the multicast section but I am sure that the complete book is treasure of good information.
