Could something as simple as a tape dispenser be called brilliant? This one can. First, it cuts the tape reliably every time, something the traditional tape machines often fail to do. Second, if you need to increase the tape tension in one particular place, just press with your finger on a button; in the traditional tape machine you have to turn a screw and then turn it back again. Third, the ergonomics is much better, your hand is closer to the action.

First off, for an "economical" tape gun, it feels reasonably sturdy. It's mostly plastic, as you'd expect at this price point, but it doesn't feel like it's going to snap in your hand on the first go. The navy colour is a nice change from the usual industrial red or orange, if that sort of thing matters to you. The main thing is, does it make taping boxes easier? Yes, it definitely does. Loading a new roll of 2-inch packing tape is pretty standard for these types of dispensers – thread it through, get it onto the roller, and you're good to go. The ergonomic handle is comfortable enough for sealing a good number of boxes in one session without your hand cramping up too much. It's also fairly lightweight, which helps reduce fatigue. The cutting mechanism works reasonably well. You get a clean enough cut most of the time, though occasionally you might have to give it an extra tug if the tape is particularly thick or if the blade isn't perfectly aligned. It has a little adjustable tension knob for the tape roll, which helps control how easily the tape dispenses. Pros: Makes Taping Boxes Much Quicker & Neater: No more struggling to find the end of the tape or getting it stuck to itself. Comfortable Ergonomic Handle: Good for repetitive use without too much hand strain. Lightweight Design: Doesn't feel too cumbersome, even when sealing multiple packages. Smooth Tape Application (Mostly): Once set up, it generally dispenses and applies tape smoothly. Effective Cutting Blade: Provides a reasonably clean cut most of the time. Affordable Price Point: Lives up to its "economical" tag; good value for what it is. Standard 2" Tape Compatibility: Works with the most common size of packing tape available in the UK. Cons: Can Be a Bit Fiddly to Load Initially: Like most tape guns, getting the tape threaded correctly the first couple of times can take a moment of concentration. Blade Might Not Always Cut Super Cleanly: Occasionally, especially with cheaper or thicker tapes, you might not get a perfectly crisp cut, or the tape might try to fold back on itself if you're not decisive with the cutting action. Plastic Construction Durability (Long-Term?): While it feels okay for general home or small business use, if you're in a heavy-duty, high-volume packing environment, a more robust metal-bodied gun might be a better long-term investment. Tension Adjustment Can Be Sensitive: Finding the perfect tension for the tape roll can sometimes require a bit of fine-tuning. Too loose and it unravels; too tight and it's hard to pull. The "Silent" Feature (if it claims it) is Relative: Some tape guns claim to be silent; this one isn't particularly noisy, but it's not silent either – you still get that characteristic tape-ripping sound. Overall: For anyone in the UK who regularly packs boxes for a small business, online sales, or even just for moving house, the Tendo Economical Tape Dispenser is a worthwhile step up from struggling with tape by hand. It definitely speeds up the process, gives a neater finish, and is generally more pleasant to use. It’s not a top-of-the-range, industrial-grade tape gun, but for its price, it performs well and handles the basics effectively. The ergonomic design and lightweight nature are appreciated during longer packing sessions. Just be patient with the initial loading and expect the occasional imperfect cut, and you'll likely find it a handy tool to have. It's certainly made my parcel packing a bit less of a chore.

Does what it is suppoed to - not sure about not having wrist strain - quite large in my small hands to operate, Beware the razor sharp blade - I cut my finger within 30seconds of using - holding too tight to tear
