Perfect for what I used it for.
I was skeptical about purchasing a budget projector. However, it turned out to be just what I needed for our Halloween display. This is not the type of projector you would want for an amazing home or back yard theater experience. It is a simple low budget projector.Being able to cast from my device as well as being able to connect to a bigger speaker worked out great though. The picture was bright and clear being cast through the window at night. The Bluetooth easily reached an outdoor speaker. This would be a nice little portable projector to take along or gift for a student. It has a built speaker that is actually pretty ok. And it is inexpensive enough that if it is dropped, lost, seized by this new fangled over zealous fbi, or stolen that it isn't a huge loss.I will most likely purchase a second one to expand the display.

Worked First Time, and It Worked Right!
I was skeptical. My wife purchased a different brand projector from this one and had a bad experience. Not so with this device! The projector was packed very well, simple. Unpacking was a breeze. I like simple. You will need two AAA batteries for the remote. Hook up was intuitive. You basically plug it in, focus, and read the easy-to-follow on-screen instructions. First, I connected it to my laptop using one of the projector’s two HDMI ports. I selected the input port from the on-screen menu. The device auto-interfaced. I like simple. I had a projected screen in seconds. The sound augmented my laptop's speaker system very well. My wife checked it out and was very pleased with the picture resolution. She brought out her phone and we Screen Mirrored, wireless. Photos and streaming. Again, selected the function, auto-interfaced. Simple. I can’t ask for more than that from a device. Nicely done, and very pleased with this device.

Issues with android
This is my first projector and I'm impressed with the picture quality. I haven't used it on a projector screen yet but I hear they make it even better.I did lots of searching and watched lots of reviews here and on yt before deciding on this model. The coupon at the time of purchase was a good motivator too! What I liked on this unit over others was the built in filter and lens cover. However, the lens cover isnt so convenient. Turns out the lens has to be retracted before the cover can be slid over. So if you want to leave the projector out but cover the lens, you will need to refocus the picture next time you use it. No, that not a difficult task but it takes away from the convenience. The audio is this unit is nice. Not home theater nice but definitely better than I expected. At times it sounds like it's coming from the projection wall. That could be just in my head and results will vary due to room variables. I haven't found a way to control volume from the projector but the remote has a few buttons for volume control. The remote is awesome! It allows you access to all the projector functions including volume and zoom. Zoom allows you to set the projector at a further distance and shrink the image to fit the wall. Zoom is a descending function and to get back to 100% to just keep cycling down until it resets. I believe it goes to 75 then recycles. As you can see from my pictures it also fits a typical camera tripod. Not much to be said about this but will work well for my intended use.About the wifi direct. I couldn't get it to work with any android phones. I tried casting/ mirroring directly and through our home wifi with no luck. I could easily find the unit both ways but could not establish a mirroring. I ended up using a Roku but great success after trying a failed fire stick. We'll save that for another review, LOL.I would recommend this unit for anyone that wants to try out a projector. If course I would caution that if you're only means of use is mirroring.

Buyer Beware of Probable Burnished Brown Splotch Formation...
Buyer Beware of Burned / Brown Splotch probability; this developed in ~5 Months... Is there a method besides replacement, to clean or remove the lcd burnished brown spot within the left side of the image? Let's see... Splotch spreading; this unit now renders a poor burned out spot, it fails to produce a sharply focused image. I recommend the MFG improves their design as follows; provide a sealed optimized optical system in order to keep out contaminants; as for its cooling design, provide an industry proven heat exchanger. Otherwise, this unit will not last! Another Amazon product example of wasted material resources for mass product profits. The market is saturated with too many cheap products. Quality is most valued by the descerning, so why not provide better. Buy quality or don't buy at all. You get what you pay for. This was a descent budget projector to test; know that it is not designed to last for more than a year! Crucial Tips; never leave it inactive or paused, make certain your screen saver works rapidly and keep the air filter clean to maximize airflow... Good luck, you will need it, CT

Decent but .....
The picture is clear. The colors are decent but it has a pale green tint which you can dilute by turning the green down or off. The reds are decent but not vibrant. Blues are fine.Aspect ratio options are decent,16:9 and 4:3 but no Zoom1 or Zoom2.The sound is decent but I use a 5.1 surround system. Still you can control treble, bass and volume with the projector remote.Brightness is decent but nothing special. It can handle a little ambient light.Remote is decent but it's the typical kind of remote that you get with budget projectors.Fan noise is decent but I've had quieter projectors. The price is decent but, as with most projectors under $300, you will probably be buying another one in three months. After three months use they tend to develop a brown spot on the picture. Judging by other reviews, this one is no different in that respect.*This one got the brown spot in 1 month.I only bought it because it's the least expensive1080p available.
