Pirchased April 2023. As of October 2024, fountain still working. Pros: Low noise. Unless water is low, then the pump makes noise (make sure to fill, as it may affect pump function). Good water volume. Currently have 1 German Shepherd (85lbs). Have to add water every other day. Mayve daily on hotter months. Filtration. If you know GS dogs, you know they shed a lot. And there is usually a lot of food backwash in the water bowls. This does a good job at filtering the hair and food and anything else out of the drinking water area. The dog definitely prefers to drink out of the fountain than any of his water bowls. Neutral... Cleaning. Neutral since I'm sure this is common to most. Overall not bad, but the little nooks and crannies of the pump are a little difficult to get to. Must use very small brush and or brush with long bristles to get into them. Cons: Pump filter info. Nowhere in the information provided or the product information on here, was I able to find information on the filter for the pump itseld. The small little filter that goes on thr bottom of the pump. However, I was able to figure out alternative below in tips. Tips and Products Info >>Cleaning: biweekly I give a very quick rinse, then run the fountain with hot water and white viniger. Let it run about 5 minutes. Then wash the fountain and pump. I find this helps clean out the fountain and pump a lot easier afterwards. Helps get rid of any buildup. Weekly, you can give a quick rinse and refill. Pump filter. Purchased below option of different bigger filter. And you can cut to split it into 3 or 4. I prefer 3. Works perfect and last a while. Super easy to assemble. It took some doing to get my dog to drink from it but he finally did. Once he did he seemed okay with it. I’ll probably only use it when leaving him with a pet sitter which was my intention from the beginning...mainly cause I don’t feel good about the plastic. It is very quiet. It holds a lot of water. The water appeared to remain clean and only needed topping off. It’s a challenge to tell for sure where the water level is but it’s doable. It’s easier to hear when it’s getting low than it is to see it. It took about a week to get him comfortable enough to drink from it. I had it out about three weeks before my trip and was gone approximately one week. I cleaned it once after the second week but he’d only been drinking from it for about a week. I meant to clean again prior to my departure but ran out of time. The filter stank and look like it was starting to mold when I cleaned it after returning home. The unit itself and water seemed okay. He has an unusually slobbery mouth. I suspect that’s why the filter had had it! The fact the bowl and water seemed clear is remarkable. Thankfully, they provided two filters with the initial purchase and they’re reasonably priced. All in all I’m very pleased with my purchase.

overall, it's a decent water fountain and does what it says it'll do. there are a few things i'd change about it, which is why i deducted a star. i changed to this water fountain because it had a larger capacity than my previous one and i wouldn't have to fill it up so often for my cats. when i put it together and went to fill it up, i realized there were some shortcomings. there is no light on the inside, so for my setup where it's not very bright, it's hard to see exactly where the water line is without taking the entire lid off. when filling it up, i had to use a flashlight to see how full it was, not to mention it was very hard to see where the max line was to see if it was full or not. either have a light on the pump or have a little clear window to see the water level better. secondly, i do wish there was auto-shut off. it's nice to know that the pump won't keep running when the water level gets too low. i don't inspect the water fountain every day, so if it gets too low while i'm away for the day, it won't keep pumping. my third little annoyance about it is that you have to unplug the fountain at the wall to take it to the sink to clean. my previous water fountain had a great feature where you could unplug the power supply at the base of the water fountain for easy cleaning. the pump had a 10" cord coming off of it that would go over the side of the fountain and would plug into a separate cord that would plug into the wall. it was brilliant. i didn't have to fuss unplugging the cord from the wall, which was behind some furniture and then put it back and feed it through. unplug the fountain on the bottom from the power source and go. i bought extra cords to go with this fountain to fix that issue, and also bought a small aquarium light to go into the dish to hopefully help with the light water level issue. auto shut off should be a standard feature on all pet water fountains. overall, it's a larger water fountain and looks better than my previous one. i love the big water reservoir for the cats to drink from, but the pump needs an auto shut off, light, and an easier way to unplug the power to clean the fountain. the type of filter is also nice and a good upgrade from my previous filter. this will catch debris much better. would buy it again, but they need to upgrade the pump.

Using this with 4 bulldogs. I got a couple of smaller ones before and had to replace one, so I took a chance on this one. It's a little more expensive but overall it holds much more water, so less trips to refill it. Easy to clean and a large drinking area and larger water spout area means more filtering and less spilling by the dogs. Planning to buy a second one for the other room to replace the smaller one we had.

Bought this for my two dogs ( border collie and a border collie golden retriever mix) they absolutely love it. The water runs which keeps it fresh and the filter literally catches anything ( hair dirt etc) holds plenty of water and is silent you don’t hear the pump just a light trickle of water which is actually quite relaxing. Easy to set up and easy on the bank account! Win win!

Update: changing from 2 stars to 4 despite this defect and not able to return it, the company has reached out to me and was so understanding they had send me a replacement. I received the bowl and thought it was great but after a little while the water kept disappearing and I found out there's a hole in the middle of the bowl which was temporarily holding the water with a sticker. I'm very disappointed because I love the bowl and think it's great minus the slight defect.

I've always used a regular bowl for my dog's water, but decided it was time for an upgrade. This Dog Water Fountain is a game changer! It comes with a built-in filter which is a huge plus. The best part? The pump is whisper-quiet; you can't even tell it's on. Now, I can leave the house without worrying about my dog running out of clean water. Highly recommend, we both love it!
