Rotring600 Ballpaint Pens 2159097 Pearl White Limited Edition Japan

Taking notes by the beach is super relaxing. That is, until you hear "Ohhh noooo!!! Get out of the water! It's a great white..."...Annnd that's when you complete the traumatizing statement with the word "pen".The "White Pearl" variant of the Rotring 600 is constructed with the same durability (and has the same enjoyable clickiness) as the others. If you enjoy the color white, then this limited release would be the one to grab. It's a nice shade of white and is noticeably different from the silver variant of the Rotring 600 (by the way, rotring is German for "red ring" - which is to describe the red ring near the top of each of their pens - but is also humorously ironic for any of the Xbox 360 owners from back in the day).**Anyway, it's a nice pen, however, just note that the pearl white variant seems to be around 1-1.5mm *thicker* around the grip area of the pen. So, if you prefer a smaller grip on your writing instruments, then all of the other Rotring 600 pen colors seem to have a *slightly* smaller grip.Good ol' modern manufacturing differences, haha.Furthermore, due to this pen being white whilst also having the same typical grip structure of the other Rotring 600 pens, it often collects dust that sticks around for ages if used in a dirty environment or with dirt on your hands from your work environment.Aside from that, the ink cartridge in my pen was pretty old and beat up with the ink being semi-dried out. As a result, there were always blank streaks in my pen strokes. But that's not a problem for me as I have 0.5mm tip cartridges that I regularly use due to my horrendously bad handwriting that looks like it was inscribed by an animal struggling with rabies. My apologies for the odd description there - but a finer pen tip just helps those with trashy handwriting to write in a more legible manner.So overall, this is a great pen. But I, however, prefer the other color variants simply due to their grips having a diameter of a slightly lesser value. But whatever; it's really not a big deal as I definitely ain't no Shakespeare.Take Care All and Happy Pen Buying !

I REALLY wanted to love this product. I have a dozen Rotring pens/pencils/fountain pens, and they are my go to pen. When I saw this limited edition, I had to buy it. Unfortunately the product did not fulfill my expectations. The white seems te be "painted" on top of the pen (compared to the blue/red versions). It doesn't look so nice, although I expect that as I wear it, it will start to fade and will give it a cool vintage look.Also, the ink doesn't flow as nicely as with my other Rotring pens. It seems to be old. Nothing a new ink cartridge won't solve.3 MONTHS UPDATE: I have to say I fell for this pen!! Now is one of my preferred pens. The ink started flowing nicely after a few hours of using it. And the color…it’s just BEAUTIFUL!!!! I updated it to 5 stars!

This Rotring 600 pen is marvelous, great design and great comfort. Build quality is excellent.

Heavy pen. Fits perfect between your fingers. Looks gorgeous in white.

I couldnt test this out beforehand. Nothing wrong with it but the writing is not smooth, almost like the ball is loose. I love most Rotring writing tools but not this.

Performs great. Don’t understand bad reviews. Mine seems just fine. Have others. All are very nice.

For my pen, the silver color, it has a few issues that hold it back.My only experience with rotring is their Rapid Pro, which is an absolutely stellar mechanical pencil.When i got the 600, i was expecting a hefty, smooth pen, especially since it was around the same price.Unfortunately, i did not get that.it was light, and the button was rather crunchy. The ink also flowed poorly, with a 1 dollar zebrapen outperforming it.

Bad experience for me, the clicker on top is noisy and it came with an empty filling.

Has a good weight that feels good in the hand, the "pearl white" color looks good and hasn't gotten stained with normal use so far. The build seems to be all metal. No complaints.

I can't pass up on a new Rotring 600, especially a limited edition Pearl White colour. The build quality and finish on the Rotring 600 is excellent, something I expect from Rotring. This pen is identical to my Rotring 600 Pen in Silver, with same high quality finish free of any major defects, and smooth knock mechanism.The Rotring 600 has a nice balance to it, and the slim design is great for those who don't like the bulky girthy pens and I think the slimmer profile provides more precision and control. Writing experience with the Rotring 600 is great but the ink is not. Like other Rotring ballpoint refills, the ink is light, a bit scratchy and there are gaps and breaks when writing with it. It doesn't come close to the superior Uniball Jetstream ballpoint refills and Rotring should rethink putting such a poor quality refill with their premium pens. Thankfully, the refill is a standard Parker G2 style refill so you can buy a G2 refill such as the Uniball Jetstream to use with the Rotring 600. I used a Pilot Hi-Tec-C Slims 0.4mm Gel D1 refill with a G2 adapter, and these were much better. I do prefer the dark ink and smooth writing with a gel refill.
