Is it strange that I love Salmonella? This little stuffed animal is the cutest thing ever! I am a microbiology student and seeing all of these little plushes is quite the novelty. I was so excited about this bacterium that I brought it to school today and one of my classmates agrees that it is adorable! I am very excited to give a bunch of these different microbes to other classmates. On more technical notes, this plush is very well-made. I can imagine it lasting a long time if it was given to a child to play with. It's soft and easy to cuddle with, in spite of its small size. I also enjoyed reading the tag that came with it. A note: this Salmonella is for food poisoning. If you are looking for Typhoid Fever, it is Salmonella typhi.

I bought several different "microbes" for a friend's daughter who had just graduated from medical school. She loved them! They're so cute and she actually identified all of them without even looking at the tags, so they evidently are somewhat realistic looking. I got her several of these plus a gift certificate from Amazon, which she used to buy her first stethoscope. Perfect.

As expected..

I work in a lab and had a friend/coworker pursue another position working with salmonella research. This was the perfect good luck and farewell gift! She loved it!

These are durable little critters that provide great shock value. A germ-a-phobe friend of mine laughed and laughed upon receiving several of these from me. They seem really well made and the tag included with each one is great. The tags tend to make the reader more conscious of the disease, saying things like "once in your food, this cannot be cooked out", which makes them great for gag gifts. Also, educationally, these would probably be great too, as the tags describe at length what each disease is, how it is constructed, and what it does. They seem factual, yet humorous.

Ich habe das Produkt als Geschenk gekauft und die Empfängerin musste Zoll zahlen! Hierüber stand nichts in der Beschreibung. Die Zollgebühr war ca 10€ bei einem Preis von 27€ für die Riesenmikrobe. Überteuert und nicht zu empfehlen.
