Great horsehair brush deal!
I would like to start this review by dispelling some confusion: One criticism I saw about this product is that the bristles liked to fall out. I did notice that the bristles on the dark brush tended to fall out more than the light brush; however, natural animal hair brushes ALWAYS shed. I haven't heard of a brush that uses animal hair and does not shed at all. May these brushes be on the cheaper side of things? Hard to say, when the same company produces other brushes that are also sold here on Amazon and I haven't personally tested them, either. When I was looking to get good horsehair shoeshine brushes, I came across this and thought it was too good to be true. I found that other high-quality shoeshine brushes started around $20-30 for a single brush. After purchasing these brushes and getting to use them, they are definitely high quality. The longer 8" handle is easier to grip than smaller (7" or less) brushes (especially with my longer fingers), the longer bristles help keep me away from the shoe and scuffing it on accident, and the benefit of having two brushes, especially with two different-colored bristles, is that black/darker polishes remain with one brush and lighter polishes with the other. This was hard to pass up, and I'm glad I went through with it. I do plan on coming back and updating this review after polishing my shoes a few more times.

Great size and fantastic quality.
Review for "Valentino Garemi Shoe Polishing Brush Set - Extra Large 8 Inches Long Luxury Shining Brushes" Both Brushes were as described and of very nice quality, I was looking for a larger brush for my boots that had soft bristles and this fit the bill. The wood surface had a nice quality finish. Both brushes had an ample bristle length of somewhere of about 1 1/2 - 2 inches and apply polish and conditioner nicely. I would buy again and recommend. Happy with this good purchase.

Excellent Quality !
My father would be so proud ! He always took such good care of our shoes. He tough my brother and I to care for all our leather goods. He had a very nice shoe brush in his polishing kit that his father had given to him. With this product, Im carry on his legacy in always keeping my shoes looking nice and clean. The brush is very good quality with nice bristles that stay put and don't fall out. It puts a very gentle sheen to anything you use it on. The handle is contoured and comfortable to use. You might find a more expensive brush, but you won't find a better made one.

Sweet brushes!
These are beautiful horsehair brushes! They are large. Long, wide and densely bristled they are comfortable to hold and a pleasure to use. I'm looking forward to many uses.

Buy the VALENTINO GAREMI Shoe Care Brush Set instead!
I did the comparison so you don’t have to: These 2 large brushes vs the VALENTINO GAREMI Shoe Care Brush Set - 2 Polishing Brushes, Cloth, 2 Applicators Brush - Genuine Horse Hair - Footwear Shine, Polish, Buff and Clean - Made in Germany set. (For brevity I’ll say full size brushes vs brush set) I bought this twin pack of the full size brushes. It arrived with not only their product boxes sliced open but also literally falling apart. The product boxes had even been taped together in the middle of the boxes. Somehow even the Amazon Inspected sticker was sliced that was on the first clear bag. Then it was placed in another clear bag, and then finally the Amazon shipping bag. The wooden portion had some dents/dings but it said it was previously used so I didn’t think much of that. However, I could tell that someone had used the tab brush as I could feel a substance on the tan bristles. The bristles are longer than the bristles in the brush set and feel slightly softer, however they SHED A TON! The Dark brush sheds more than the tan brush but still both lose a ton of bristles just when I brushed it against my palm for 30 seconds. I’d hate to think of how many more they’d lose when brushed against a hard surface like a boot. Recommend the Valentino Garemi brush set (it’s also sold on Amazon). Neither of the 2 round applicator brushes lost any bristles. The medium tan brush only lost like 3, the medium dark brush lost a couple more but again still not even 1/5 of what the larger version did. I’ll post my review of the set on its page along with pics.

I think I got fakes.
I dont think I got the "real thing". My order came, and there are 2 brushes in Valentino Garemi boxes, but the brushes inside do not have the label as indicated in the description, nor does it match any of the other customer pictures. The brushes seem decent, but I am hesitant to keep since they dont seem to be what I actually ordered. They do have the 100% Rosshaar (100% horsehair) label imprint in gold, but they are missing the Valentino Garemi branding on the brushes themselves. I am debating on returning them.

Works well, but dark brush sheds
Just started using these brushes. Great size, and appear to be good quality overall. The brush with lighter and softer hair bristles doesn’t appear to shed at all, but the darker one definitely does. After one pair of shoes, about 25 hairs came out. A bit of a mess to clean up. Removing a star for that. Hopefully this is a short term phenomenon and will clear up after some use. From other answers to a question about shedding, it appears that my set may be a bit of an outlier.

Was looking for a larger shoe brush, something like the nice large Saphir brushes, to replace my older one and came across this pack of two. Was very pleased with the size and the bristles are quite soft. The only downside is that they seem to shed quite a bit. The first time I used them I couldn’t believe how much was falling out. I’ve only used them a few times though, so I’m hoping it improves. Still great value, just a bit of an inconvenience.

Junk! First was the ridiculous amount of shedding, dozens of hairs all over the place each time. Tried shaking them all loose to no improvement. But the entire chunks fell out. Horrible quality control and just a mess to clean up. Won't ever trust this company again.

Very well packaged and truly looked like an impressive set...I was not expecting such a "luxury" quality. However, the first (and subsequent) use of the large brush had loose bristle hairs all over the floor. I polish my boots in traditional (old-school) military fashion, so I am rough with the brush- but bristles should not come out this easily regardless. I had my Kiwi brush for 30 years, and it never lost a single hair. Unfortunately, Kiwi no longer makes the full-size brush, and the smaller version is not useful for polishing boots in this fashion.
