Fantastically large , nonstick and cooks beautifully
Best electric skillet ever. I have used a 12"x12" forever and I would have gotten a bigger one if they existed. This one is huge and even if you were to only fill it 1/4 of the way, nothing spills over the edges. The non stick surface is truly non stick, so easy to clean. It says to use plastic utensils... I love crunchy fried potatoes and used my metal spatula , not only did nothing stick it did not scratch. The five pounds of fried potatoes browned up/ cooked within 30 minutes with the vented glass top on. You do need a big area to place it to cool, but does have some weight to it so it stays wear u put it. The element part of the plug has thumb lever that needs to be depressed to remove it after use, eliminates accidentally pulling it out if you move it. This deep electric frying pan will be multi use... it's big enough to "bake" a whole chicken dinner. The cost is a little higher than the smaller ones , but it's well worth the price for the versatility, cooking space and durability. Would definately buy this again if I had to... but I have a feeling this will last a long time.

so far so good, good depth & size for various cooking needs, better heat coil design than most
High rating for what it is, and for now. If I experience anything worth sharing, I will be back to do so (especially if negative). Electric skillets are a must have more me. Ease of use is my primary reason. I dont always want to use the gas stove, and I dont always want cast iron. I like the no fuss aspect of the electric skillet, and I like not "heating up" the kitchen in the summer. I also like it as an extension of my cook top options. I can use stove and also use this. I feel more comfortable cooking something for a long period of time in this than I do on my stove top. I sometimes use this a slow cooker, like its a hybrid. Now, the downside to electric skillets is that they eventually break down. I buy a new one every couple of years. DOES NOT MATTER BRAND. Brand name or off brand, they are all pretty much the same; something goes on them. I even had a $200 electric pot that barely lasted a year. SO, I now look for a product in the $50 range. If it lasts me a year, great. Unfortunate but true. Also, I am type to use this 1, 2,3x per DAY. So someone who says they've had theirs 10 years but only used 6x, is not helpful. Currently I have smaller electric skillet (maybe 12"x12"x2") for most basic needs. I had had larger skillets like this in the past, but sometimes it felt like it was too big. Yet still had desire for one especially for larger scale cooking. Hence why I had the uber pricy electric pot style. When THAT stopped working (control panel), I decided I would just get this large skillet. It is wide and deep. Plenty of space to work with, including making sauces and soups. And stewps (my thick soups). I figure if my little skillet breaks down, then I also have this as back up. My little skillet is showing signs of "burn" where the heating coils run. This makes for uneven heating, more prone to burning food, and also wears down the non stick portion quickly. Wont be long before I toss it, or I buy another--I do like having the small one too. Ok, so with any and all these skillets of any brand at any price point, the areas that are likely to go bad are: 1. heating coil area. This presents as a breakdown as seen in main portion of pan. Looks like a darker area. This contributes to uneven heating and less non stick. Then it is just always a mess to work with. 2. temperature apparatus. The portion that plugs into the skillet. They are pretty much all the same, just a prong. Sometimes they dont situate right any longer. 3. which is basically going back to #1, but the non stick wears away. You will get eventual scratches even if you are always using silicone or wood. ALSO, be sure to use soft cloth, nothing scratchy to clean inside. So when stuff seems to be burning or sticking too much, then it is time to think about buying new. ADDED TIP: when storing the cord inside, I like to keep a layer of paper towel or a cloth to line the skillet to protect it from prong scratching at it when in storage. ++++++++++++++That all being said, this skillet is NICE. So far (again will update if need be)+++++++++ --Size and depth are great for many cooking needs. --Cord is typical, with temperature control having its usual assortment of temps. Red light indicates its on --INSIDE has texture. A small dimpling all over the bottom. THAT IS NEW to me. Wasnt sure if I would like it, BUT it might just help extend the non-stick aspect. --UNLIKE most skillets of any size, this has TWO heat coils and not just one center loop (they call it M shape). THAT lends to much more even cooking, and hopeful much less likelihood of burn through. --Has cut out for pouring/venting and/or maybe spoon --1500 watt. Some have less wattage FOR MY needs, I like it--so far. I am currently pleased with it. Have used it several times, and so far so good. I will update if it all goes south. Or will perhaps update over time if it continues to be stellar. I tend to keep up with my reviews and will update on occasion.

Élite Gourmet
I’m really impressed with this frying pan! It heats up quickly and cooks evenly, which makes preparing meals so much easier. The nonstick surface works perfectly — nothing sticks, and cleaning it is super easy. It also feels sturdy and well-made. I’ve used it for eggs, pancakes, and even stir-fry, and everything comes out great. Totally worth the price!

cheap plastic in the temperature control but still functional
Cheap plastic on the thermostat (temperature control piece). I dropped it 6 inches when removing it from the box and part of the plastic broke off. It's still usable but that's annoying. That part is also the only part excluded from the warranty (as described in instruction manual not through Amazon I think). The instruction manual also says to preserve the non stick you shouldn't use it at the high temperatures. This seems really weird because what's the point of having the settings if that will damage the nonstick. It seems like they're just trying to cover their bases and have an excuse to say it was treated poorly if someone complains about the nonstick. Also after only 3 or 4 uses I'm noticing faint white marks on the surface over where the heating element must be. That seems like a bad sign this early on. I did turn the heat up to the 300+ Fahrenheit range which is basically what the manual said not to do. That being said, the non stick is really good. Much better than my cheap $20 nonstick from Walmart. I haven't put it in the dishwasher yet, though. It also gets up to heat very fast which is another good thing. The other thing I love is its size, I don't know why nobody else on the market offers something this large or larger.

Wonderful!
This skillet is amazing! The 10.5 quart offers plenty of cooking surface with deep sides making it perfect for spaghetti sauce or pot roast, etc. The non-stick surface does not feel thin or cheap and clean-up is quick. Figuring out the correct temps is a learning curve but it heats up quickly and works well. I was also able to make hamburgers that were cooked all the way through with ease. It is dishwasher safe but there is no need to do anything more than handwashing. I would recommend this product.

Excellent electric skillet!
Excellent! Perfect non-stick, easy clean and can be immersed in water or dishwasher. Large enough to make a meal but small enough to easily store in a cupboard. Cooks evenly. It’s ideal for a single person living in an apartment or dorm.

Great skillet!
I absolutely love this skillet! Honestly, this is my third one. Gotta be honest here, I use this thing multiple times a week. The first one, the heating elements quit working as well as I liked and I replaced it after a year. The second one? That's all on me. I cooked some food in it that I probably shouldn't have. I soaked it for several hours, lost patience and scrubbed it a bit too hard. I took that beautiful coating off and gave it grey spots. The bad part was every time I wiped it, little black flakes kept showing up on my cloth. Definitely not cooking with it again. I did try another skillet between the first and second and honestly, it did not heat the food even close to evenly, so I came back to Elite. If you cram a ton of food into this pan, the edges do cook a bit slower. Flip it over and look at the elements to get an idea. Overall, this pan does heat evenly. When I'm being ambitious on the amount of food I've slammed in there, I just rotate the side suff inwards halfway through. I always hand wash and put a bit of olive oil in it after use. Reading the temperature gauge is a pain in the bottom because of it's location. Not a huge deal, if it's too hot, I turn it down. The lid is nice and sturdy, I like that I can leave a spoon on the edge and put the lid on if I want.
